  1. Not sure if this had been said but Mason is in the house.
  2. We need more jet sweeps by Horton or fake jet sweeps/ end around. Our two best RBs aren't in so we have to stretch it.
  3. Not sure if this was said on the broadcast, but Mazin Richards is sick, throwing up on the sideline. Fighting through it.
  4. I've heard through the grapevine that Graham's ideal job is ours. Would we take him? Also, it's Kliff not Cliff.
  5. He admitted that at Tech he dislike recruiting or something to that effect so he didn't put much of an effort into it. If we can get others to pick up his slack in recruiting then I like him running our offense. But every time he fails at a job he seems to get something better, so he'll probably talk Goodell out of his job and be commissioner.
  6. There are three things that worry me about this game. Their RB, by far the best back we've seen this year. He's averaging 161/game and 7/carry. They need two more wins to be bowl eligible with three games left and one of those games is against LSU, so they need to win this game. So, their backs are against the wall. Last, this is their last home game, so it's their senior day. Another bit of extra motivation. They are going to come out with a fire lit under their ass. If we can keep McBride from getting too crazy( around 150 yards and no more than 2 TDs) and weather the early storm, I think we will win. But....this game gives me a bad feeling. We're banged up and I think it catches up to us. We lose 34-31. Maybe if Adeyi, Shorter and Blair are good and playing close to normal we can pull it out.
  7. Andrew's ears are ringing somewhere
  8. Yeah, there was at least one play he went the wrong direction and left Earl hanging out to dry. Also, he fumbled. I didn't think his last game was that great, 5 for 24 yards, but his long was 19. So, basically 1.3 on his other 4 carries. He looked much better against Southern, but everyone did.
  9. I just went back and checked random games earlier in the season because games at the end of the year carry more weight usually and your best players will get more minutes usually. In the three games I checked every starter played more than 25 minutes and at least three of the 5 starters played about 33 minutes or more. I think like the Aune/Littrell argument can be applied here with Andrew. What he's saying is true and very weird, but some of us can't put our thoughts of him aside to look at this objectively. Dave and Hank also brought this up multiple times last night and were just as confused. I can't figure out why you wouldn't want to win if you were them even if it was an exhibition. Us given thrown a bone is better than us losing, but I think if you ask everyone on that court we benefitted from those substitutions.
  10. Weren't two of our 4 3's banked in?
  11. Something that has always bothered me about our basketball is the absence of floor sweepers. Why are we using douchebaging towels?
  12. https://www.si.com/college/2022/11/02/ranking-every-team-in-college-basketball-unc-gonzaga We come in at 60. Only behind UAB (46) in our conference. Pretty accurate in my opinion. We have to prove again we're better than people think.
  13. They are allowed
  14. You're not really making a point he was that much better. 3%, 6% and whatever this year turns out to be. So, basically one extra completed pass a game? We do have better receivers, but last year I think all the starting receivers from 2013 (you left off Carlos Harris who was decent that year) would have played since we had nothing but backups and Burns (who was a walk on and has climbed his way to being a starter). I mean DT barely threw more TDs than Interceptions (42 to 34), was that his average WRs fault? But thank God he completed that extra pass. I think we're just debating over slightly different levels of mediocrity.
  15. It's a good thing we aren't in the AAC yet and are still playing this season. No one brought up next season.
  16. DT's record his 3 years as a starter was 5-7, 4-8 and 9-4. Derek Thompson Stats Austin Aune's Stats The style is more vertical for Aune, but Thompson will have around 200 more attempts than Aune by the time this regular season is done. If we win out Aune will have an 8-4 record with a chance at a conference championship and a bowl game victory. We have pretty low standards here, so it's not ludicrous to think it would happen if he wins a championship and/or a bowl. Again, I was not a fan of DT in his time here and didn't think he was HOF worthy. Aune shouldn't be either in my opinion but it's hard to argue one is and one isn't.
  17. I'd take Dana
  18. And you're saying if only Earle had played, we win?
  19. So......?
  20. I'm going to go out on a limb and say you probably wanted Cooper Rush to keep playing after Dak was healthy.
  21. Seems like a call back to a Derek Thompson. The two have very similar careers and Derek is a UNT HOF'er. Probably because of the Heart of Dallas Bowl win, although he was top 5 in some of the passing records (not very impressive QB records before Fine). And for the record I was not a fan of his.
