  1. I'll agree with that. Although, I wouldn't put much stock in the WaPo when it comes to Texas fotball.😉
  2. No he didn't. He was OC/WRs coach at Tech and Sonny Cumbie and Trey Haverty recruited him.
  3. So only him and Texas Southern saw the talent?
  4. I think Ward is just a badass and will continue to get better regardless. Ward was a fluke that fell into their laps at UIW and was the key to a majority of his success there. I agree, we'll have to disagree. I hope I'm wrong about him. Now hope he brings Leftwich to be the QB coach. That will give me more confidence in the QB development.
  5. Again, you're going out on a limb to say he was the one who identified them. And wrong when you say he coached them up. Kliff and Leftwich did the QB coaching. That's like giving Seth credit for Mason.
  6. Ha! Celebrating on the plane no doubt. He's taking the role of Head Coach literally, eh? 😉
  7. I doubt he had zero input in his development either, but Morris coached the receivers while he was at Tech, not QBs. Also, he was offensive coordinator for an offense that was called entirely by the actual OC who was Kliff.
  8. Pat was a pretty highly rated recruit, so finding him wasn't very hard. And would you give Morris the former WR credit for that or Kingsbury the former QB?
  9. I keep seeing people say this, but to my knowledge Ward is the only good QB he's had. And Ward was given one other scholarship than UIW and that was Texas Southern. I think Ward is an extremely talented guy who fell through the cracks and has excelled at the next level regardless of the coach. Also, if I were to give credit to the person who groomed him it would be the QB coach, Leftwich.
  10. 4am is considered overtime....and he chokes in overtime.
  11. His lawyer says it was against the daughter's boyfriend. Not sure I buy that.
  12. A lawyer on orange bloods brought the attempted murder thing up only because there was no bond set.
  13. 3rd degree felony. There are rumors it could get worse. Like attempted murder worse. https://www.tcsheriff.org/inmate-jail-info/inmate-info/find-an-inmate#/sip/2224803
  14. We had that momentum with Littrell and never sold out a game. Actually, we've yet to sell out a game in a 31K seat stadium with something like 250K alum in the DFW area and 35K students. Also, for those numbers, our donations MGSF numbers are very low. Making a home run hire would no doubt make things easier, but that's easier said than done.
  15. His priorities should be.... 1. Getting more donors and increasing the donations from our current donors. 2. Continuing improvement of our current facilities and moving forward with new facilities when the resources are there. 3. Increasing attendance to football and basketball. Students and alum need to show up in much higher quantities. One of the ways to do this is by continuing to improve game day experience. If he can continue the improvement to these things like Wren did (attendance not so much) , then I will consider it a successful hire. A Baseball program would put this guy in the HOF for me. I'm so down on our students/fan base though that I'd be shocked if any of them happen. Our fans are fair weather at best. Even this board who a lot consider as "die hard" are or were bailing because of .500 coach, that's not die hard. And this is the best we got? I hope for the best for this school but don't expect much.
  16. He doesn't owe us an apology or a goodbye or a thank you. Just like he didn't owe us injury reports or press conferences with pizazz. People these days want it all and want it taylor made to their specifications. Just look forward to the new hire.
  17. His success comes in a very small sample size and was helped a huge amount by Cameron Ward. He was 6-5;6-2, 5-7;4-5, (Ward shows up)3-3;3-3 and 10-3;6-1. Also, I don't really give him a lot of credit for Ward except for getting him to follow him to WSU. Them and Texas Southern were the only two offers Ward had coming out of high school and more credit to their QB coach (Mack Leftwich former UTEP QB) for coaching him up than Morris who was a WR when he played. Seems to have a decent system, but he needs to do good longer and at a better level to prove anything to me. He doesn't seem like an improvement over Seth.
  18. No thanks
  19. Just a small correction...he was at Buffalo for 6 seasons prior to KU. But, if you want to use the point for Buffalo you still could.🙂
  20. That can be said for any hire.
  21. Good luck to him. Hope we can make a better hire.
  22. He's better than Ragsdale and Smith...if he's 100%
  23. They might be saying 70.5% balls stayed in bounds.
  24. Ayo is back and so is Mazin! Ayo being back makes me feel better about tonight.
