  1. That's good to see. The only Texas schools in front of us now are UT, TAMU, TTU and BU, even though it's really early, that's nice to see.
  2. Since when did Riley become so slow? I've seen him as fast as 4.4 and heard of him being in the 4.3 range, is he sand bagging? My NT pants are going soooo crazy right now!!!! If he and Newton were to commit, I seriously might piss myself.
  3. Not very much, but the first bowl we went to with a losing record and each bowl after that we went without beating a ooc opponent, winning just one.
  4. How does what most would consider a fluke win over OU help us in the long run?
  5. I agree that that game would give would make national news, but how does that help the football team? You saw what TD can do recruiting wise with just his hs coaching reputation, imagine what he could do with a 9-3 record and a bowl win under his belt. If we beat OU and then lost to SMU the next week all the good publicity would be swept away with everyone thinking that was the fluke of the year and so was NT's win over SMU in 06. Besides, would you rather have someone in Michigan saying did you hear that OU got upset or have the metroplex and the state of Texas saying TD turned NT around from 3-9 to 9-3 with a bowl win?
  6. It's a little less than 4:1, but I see your point.
  7. The funniest part was when TD painted himself in a corner while mentioning the 4 consecutive SB titles saying "...they won 4 back to back....to back.........to back titles." Not that big of a deal, but it made me think of Meet the Parents, day by day...by day......by day.
  8. You don't think Texans would respect a 9-3 season under a new head coach? And seriously, do you think the UT and aTm fans would respect us if we had a win against OU and finished 6-6, hell no! Do you think Texans respect TCU for beating OU, I don't respect them for that game, it's the consistency that I give them credit for. Option A does nothing for us, like FFR said we don't recruit against OU.
  9. That's not true, their starting rb's get about 12.5 carries a game and about 900 yards a season and that's just their starting rb's.
  10. B for sure. The best thing that could happen to North Texas is to get back to the top of the Sun Belt and back to the NO Bowl (and win it). These two accomplishments and a win over SMU would help out our recruiting much more than option A, which would lead to a better team in 08 and a better chance to have a major upset in 08. Let's face it, were expected to lose big to Arkansas and OU, so those losses wouldn't hurt us the only bad thing about option B is the loss at home to Navy. B would sling shot us so far in front of SMU that we could then set our sights on TCU. Please God give us B!
  11. no, last year and this year.
  12. Are they not counting this year, because this is my second year as a season ticket holder and last year I donated $250 to the MGC, but I've only accumulated 4 points?
  13. is it bad that one of our db prospects (d'anton lynn # 40) doesn't list us as an option.
  14. 2.4 GPA not that bad, but 650 SAT, that's bad. 650 is low for the old SAT, but the new SAT's highest possible score is 2400. The good part is that he probably took it as a junior and he has a whole year to raise the score.
  15. i've been to two stores today as well.
  16. They changed the SAT a couple of years ago, it now has a written portion and the perfect score is 2400.
  17. I believe the new SAT score is 2400.
  18. I'm pretty sure that JJ Johnson is going to be playing for NT next fall.
  19. This is mine too. When I was in high school DeSoto was still in our district and he torched South Garland in every way possible. I believe he had two special team td's and over 150 on the ground. Hands down the best hs rb I've seen in person.
  20. That's the all-star game where the players commit during the game right? How great would that be to see two players have NT next to their names? That's good publicity.
  21. I enjoy seeing how much they've grown since their junior year and knowing they will be be growing during their senior year as well. In williams case going from 5-10, 170 to 5-11, 188 is quite a difference, a player that size can play right away. By the way he's growing he could be 6', 195 by the time he steps on the field at NT. Also, we can follow the commitments their senior years, maybe watch them play once or twice, something we couldn't do with the way we recruited in the past.
  22. Never seen Troy play, but a guy at work just moved there and his girl will be in the band next season, so I'm going to ask for weekly updates.
  23. This is F***ing great! Two commitments in two days, totally different from our old method of recruiting.
