To add to my previous post about the two minute scoring drives for our opponents. Last year we only had two that met the criteria that I used for this season and the longest pass play for a touchdown last year against the players (db's) who are too slow to keep the receivers in front of them this year was 47 yards. I'm not in the lynch mob neither...I just think your giving Mendoza too much credit.

I believe Mendoza is doing his best, but I don't believe Mendoza is the best for this job. Others could do better and you probably wouldn't have to go outside this coaching staff to do so. Those players aren't just getting beat because of the other players speed.

The guy didn't do that great of a job. It's definitly not 100% his fault but what about 75%.

I think Seidle will stay on the defensive side of the ball and be in the mix at LB somewhere, but I would also like to see him get a shot at DE...I think his speed could really help on the defensive side.

Financially is the only way the Baylor job could better his life. If he wants to keep coaching football in college he'll go somewhere that he can win and then try to move on to a better school, if he goes to Baylor he'll lose in the BigXII and ruin his career...SMU would probably benefit him more than Baylor, considering the family situation, proximity, money and the chance to win. Plus, I don't think Todge is going anywhere since his son decommitted from UT to have a chance to play QB in his Dad's system.

This could be good for NT recruiting. Not that we need more receivers, but Fran will bring his running based offense to SMU and I would think some of their receivers might jump ship.

Unless your 3 DL are incredible rushers then why would you ever rush 3...it hardly ever puts pressure on the QB...they should have just dropped those 3 into coverage and rushed none.

Is anyone else concerned that the second half always belongs to the other team? Not including the Troy, OU and UA games we're getting outscored in the second half 164-73 and we've scored half as many points in the second half as the first (155-73). It's not just the other teams offense that's making adjustments. I think Dodge can correct this problem with a little more experience, but I don't think Mendoza has what it takes.
