I'd also like to give a shout out to Coach Shelton Gandy for getting this commitment...this was his first commitment that they have him listed for, but it was a good one! All the coaches have done well from the looks of it.

I consider this guy one of the for sure commitments of this crop...almost more than Rodge. I've seen him at at least 2 football games and have heard of him having two other visits, plus the fact that his brother is transferring here makes me consider him a lock to sign.

AND half of the three star commitments are on the defensive side of the ball with the other three listed as athletes. The only one that will for sure play on the offensive side is Rodge...the other two were defensive players in high school if I'm not mistaken, I guess the coaching staff was trying to assess a need on the team??? Hells yeah!

I'm all down with the optimism too, but as far as being the best recruit in the past two years...they've got at least two players on the DMN top 100 in the area, one at #50 (wr) I believe and another in the 70's (a DE that is being recruited as a OL) and that's just this year.

According to DCTF when he was listed at 6'3" 260, he ran a 4.9...pretty good for someone that size.

You know how the official attendance for a NT football game is said to about 18k and those who were there say there couldn't have been more than 10k...how many butt's are actually in seats for the FIU games, if they are oficially reporting about 5k? That's pretty bad!

What are the chances of DeLoach going to smu as a DC or DB coach? Jones needs a recruiter with Texas ties more than NT does...the article said he wanted to come back to Texas, not come back to North Texas.

Not to put a negative vibe out there, but does smu have a dc yet and is there a chance that DeLoach goes there...they need someone "hit the ground running" in recruiting?

I think K-Scott would be the best fit of anyone out there...as for Richie Whitt...that guy blows, I can say for certain that if he becomes a regular on the show that I will start to phase the hardline out of my life.
