  1. not to take away from the point of you post, but on a turf field everyone has a clean jersey at the end of the game, unless some blood is spilled. to answer your question, i don't remember any one touching him until just after he let the ball go or when he would run on us, which i do remember some licks put on him, only after he had run for 5-10 yards.
  2. absolutely! speaking of the ol does anyone have holivay as an adopted player, i can't ever seem to focus on the play of a single player for very long and was wondering how he did? i watched him on a couple of plays and he seemed to do ok.
  3. ut is doing the something similar with john chiles and colt mccoy. they think they need to get their best players on the field to be where they want to be, so they're doing it.
  4. so, what we should do is leave one of the best recruits UNT has ever signed on the sidelines for three of the 5 years he is here? that's how to optimize the the talent on your team! the shame is that i think having riley out there as a hybrid qb/wr (slash type of position) would be a better idea then him just being a wr, but i don't know if todge is creative enough in his offense to do something like this. in short, rodge being out there will make this team better now. he was one of the best, if not the best player out there last night in his first collegiate game.
  5. i'll go with dd's offense, at least we're scoring more than 13 a game now.
  6. i'm assuming you're talking about gilmore, since horton was definitly an academic casualty.
  7. our problems are plentyful, but one that he could address and make less of a problem is making our offense more potent and puting a playmaker with game changing ability out there. he didn't change the outcome of the game, but he did make an impact. i'm all for him playing now, he makes the team better.
  8. I pick Fitz to have a monster game after a lack luster game last week. And on defense...Robertson he's going to have a pick and lots of tackles.
  9. Usually I disagree with this type of play from teams, but this time I appreciated it. They didn't give us an inch, 45-6 is exactly how much worse we are than KSU, they didn't change their game plan and start kneeling on th ball. I think this option is better than teams/coaches basically feeling sorry for us and letting up. If you've ever had an opponent pitty you and play half ass, then you know that feeling sucks too and in my opinion is worse than someone running up the score. I like having an actual score and not a score that people can say it could have been way worse. The only way this score could have been worse is if the KSU starters would have stayed on the field. This gives us an accurate measuring stick of our team and lets us know what and how much we need to work on.
  10. This dude is just a barrel of laughs, isn't he.
  11. Casey's and Shrimp n' Stuff are great! Shrimp n' Stuff hosts the oldest bar on the island (from the 1800's i believe)...it's not being put to use but pretty cool to see. My favorites... (I'm guessing on streets though) Fish Tales - 25th and the Seawall (if you go, you have to sit on the upstairs patio looking over the gulf) Fishermans Wharf - North side of the island...Pier 22? (the patio is nice, but don't sit outside if it's mosquito season) Willie G's - Across the street from Fishermans Wharf (the wharf is better) The last two are pricey, but good.
  12. Is it the "danger train" just because of the car issue or is dangerous on the train too?
  13. What about the Dobletree off of Dallas St.?
  14. Almost forgot about this. The t-shirt promotion is a great idea.
  15. This sucks! Losing our best piece to our worst part of the team and being the center makes it a pointed shoe kick to the boys! I like Johnson and I think he's going to be a hell of a player, but this is probably going to make an already mediocre OL worse.
  16. That's what I thought, because a couple of years ago I attended a TT and the students have their own gate entrance , there was no exchange of tickets just a quick scan of their ID. Also, at the top of the gate there was a digital counter showing how many students have gone through and when that counter reached whatever the capacity was for the student section that entrance was shut down and I think any other students that wanted to see the game had to buy a ticket. I wish we had that problem.
  17. I'm really hoping that Hollivay beats out Menard for the guard spot and they push Menard back over to tackle. I too am a believer that a smaller ol will be wore down by the sixth game of the season.
  18. Was there a final score for the Tech game?
  19. roman fields stan laurel ray cheatham FLAVA FLAV!
  20. billy mclellan sam the eagle
  21. Will someone remind me how to do this?
  22. We playing Florida this year? Only if we lose every other game by 1 point.
  23. Absolutely, I thought the way the scores were going that the U.S. was going to get screwed for sure. I didn't even know that Nastia was from Parker, until a couple of days ago, that's only a stones throw from us in Wylie. Did anyone else notice where the announcer said she was planning on attending school...SMU. It would of been nice to have a gold medal gymnast attending UNT.
