  1. the coffee nods are none other than ben and skin, formerly of the ticket and now of espn radio. you can always email them if you cant find it.
  2. happy belated birthday rick!
  3. with the rangers being the only team i've ever liked in my favorite sport...you can't imagine how f'n happy i am right now! this is what makes being a fan of a shitty team so great...the feeling you get when they do something great! this is a feeling that "fans" who are front runners, bandwagoners or quit on a team mid season will never feel, because they don't know what it's like to love a team unconditionally. go rangers!
  4. i have to miss the game tomorrow, but was wondering if it might be on the tube somewhere so i could dvr it. anybody know? i might get mean green premium so i can watch it the next day...they still do that right?
  5. we won't even sniff 400k. if we splurge, then we might get between 325 and 350, but i think we'll end up paying 275 to 300. that's why leech and fran are out of the question. we wouldn't be able to pay their staff, how would we pay them? we'll hire canales or some "up and coming" coordinator...hopefully they do good.
  6. he recruited qb's in each class, he just didn't recruit them that well. vizza 07, riley 08, thompson 09, dodson and teagarden 10 (there was also the qb from skyline that gave his verbal to us only to sign at utep, javia hall?). he also recruited another qb in riley's class, but now he's starting at lb. knowing what you know now you can criticize signing riley as a qb, but no one knew for sure at the time if it would work or not. if hall would have signed, the weakest year for qb's probably would have been thompson's.
  7. i would fill in the gaps between the wings and each section.
  8. Happy birthday RV!
  9. and still...they are way more consistent than it is for this team to gain 3 yards when it needs it.
  10. deans was 11 for 11 up to that point. so, it's been a sure thing all year...going for two is a 50/50 chance at best. this argument would make more sense if it's the same situation next week.
  11. that ball hit one of our players... they threw the bean bag and marked the ball where it hit our player, instead of where it was downed.
  12. thinking back i saw a few players complaining, but didn't know the reason.
  13. were you letting us know because you want someone to talk you off the ledge?
  14. hopefully your a student and not a booster.
  15. i think i'm going to let a wild chimp go in locker room, so we can have a "thumb chewed off my chimpanzee" injury to our repertoire.
  16. are you threatening us or the university?
  17. yes, i think most would point almost interceptions out on this board and definitely hold it against him.
  18. that interception went off the hands of his receiver.
  19. that's what dodge was saying in the post game show with dunham. he said we had 2 procedure penalties in the previous 4 games and 6 last night, there was definitly something going on that the refs weren't catching.
  20. it's common practice by all coaches to go for the tie at home and go for the win on the road (like ohio last year). if it would have been a decision of a 25-30 yard field goal for the tie or a 8-12 yard shot at the win with our offense out there, then i see your point.
  21. that's f'n stupid! if he would have gone for two with a kicker that was 11/11 in extra points most people would have flipped their shit...me included. we proved to be the better offense all night. they scored on 2 long plays, a defensive play and a drive that was prolonged by our penalty. if we got it to overtime, then we win. their coaching was pretty bad by the way, they made a lot of dumb decisions, especially in play calling at the end of the game.
  22. Has anyone received theirs yet? I asked at the Rice game and they said they would be mailed to us. Does anyone have any information on this?
  23. that's horrible news. since having a child, i have realized how sad and tragic it is for a child or a young adult to lose their life. i can't imagine the pain his parents are feeling right now. so sad. my prayers go out to his family and friends.
  24. Well done, sir.
  25. y'all were the kind of kids that took your ball home when you started losing, weren't you?
