  1. probably right, but it's catchy. i thought so since the first time i heard it at the game.
  2. You can take me off the list. Trying to get tickets from the website had me in some seats behind the goal. But, if you call the ticket office they still have good premium tickets avalable that aren't listed online. I got two seats on row a, behind the nt bench.
  3. does anyone have a couple of premium tickets they won't be able to use for the tech game? i'll pay. thanks, chad
  4. and if the burgular keeps up with the football team, he/she now knows that they lock the gates at practice and there's no chance of the players in question coming home.....it's the perfect crime!
  5. my bad...they gave up right before the 50.
  6. while i don't believe this is a mess up by the builders...there are instances of companies messing up. my friend who is a tech grad told me that one of their arenas made within the last decade (fuzzy on the details) boxed in a crane and had to do extra work to get it out.
  7. i don't think the 3rd or 4th string qb's play should count against him. if he can get wins out of a team with all these injuries, then he should get credit, but he shouldn't be blamed for losing games with such a beaten up team. he's in a good spot right now....wins will help his chances of getting the hc spot, but losses shouldn't hurt his chances in my opinion. unless, the losses are directly because of his decisions.
  8. personally, i thought the win over ball state was the biggest win in years, but my favorite win was the smu game. i think people need to tap the brakes on this win. like someone said earlier...it was a fumble inside our redzone with around 5 minutes to go that made this game look better than it was, then we got a muffed kickoff to make it a laugher. and if you were watching the game you could see them give up after we got the ball past the 50 after the fumble. it's a good win because of all the injuries and playing with our 3rd string qb with a broken wrist. i think we won this game because our rb's did well and their rushing defense is horrible. i don't care how we won...just that we won. ps... could you do me a favor? since you're blowing things out of proportion in such a positive way on something so mediocre....can you write a post about my penis?
  9. if something kills his chances, it won't be the qb's play.
  10. we got a decent qb in the game and played a team that wasn't that great.
  11. awesome! thanks!
  12. RANGERS! Holy fuck! this is so surreal! i have never been so happy over a sports moment! mother fucking rangers!!!!!
  13. I don't think he would leave, but if we move to a running offense I fear the possibility losing mr. Carey. He was getting frustrated last game when we couldn't move the ball ...what would he do if he hardly got the ball for his last two seasons?
  14. I think a better question is what will we be able/willing to pay the new coach's staff. In my opinion this is just as important as the coach. Paying the hc a big salary is pointless if we can't pay to have a good staff at his disposal. We need to increase coaching salaries across the board for this next hire to work.
  15. awesome! it sounds like you're exactly the fan that unt needs back in the stands. i wouldn't go and spend money on tickets yet...you might not like who the next coach is and need to boycott again.
  16. i'm going to try very hard to make this and possibly bring my nephew. this is very exciting!
  17. i think this would be considered and "executive type" position, in which this rule does not apply.
  18. a blowout is inevitable and we'll be outdrawn regardless of who's coaching.....unless of course, it's deion.
  19. we haven't hired a proven winner in a while...what makes you think we'll do it this time.
  20. sorry, maybe you misunderstood what i was getting at with this topic. i'm not suggesting we hire him, i just thought it was a interesting name to kick around, more fun than people we've never heard of and more realistic than leach or fran. he'd be our isaiah thomas, he could defer his coaching salary and bring in top national recruits...probably could have got dez.
  21. Sometimes all you need is a good recruiter (which i think he would be) and then get the right staff behind him...see Mack Brown. and no, i'm not comparing mack browns coaching resume to deion's, but mack doesn't do much down there in austin when it comes to x's and o's. And yes, it is boring to talk about coaches that most have never heard of.
  22. I heard a rumor yesterday and although I think it has a 0% chance of happening I thought it was an interesting candidate and a fun name to kick around. So, without getting into the probability of it happening and just focusing on whether or not you think it would be good for the football program (ie, ticket sales, recognition, W's...)what do you think about....wait for it.... "Prime Time"? Yep, Deion Sanders. He is a huge name and would bring a lot of attention to the school/program, but I also think he brings quite a few cons as well. Would you be happy with a hire like this? Or would you rather hire some OC/DC that might be the next big thing? Let me hear from you America!
  23. it's not that far off from the truth. plus, two of his recruiting years were hindered a bit by the apr scores...courtesy of dd. dodge fixed that and he had this team moving in the right direction...just got the s*** end of the stick this year. if we're gonna get rid of dodge then we should keep everyone else in place, that's the only way i see us improving next year. if we blow the staff up again, then there is going to be another down year due to the changes. if we don't care about our record in the first year of the new stadium, then make the change. if we do, then keeping this staff with dodge or without is our only hope of opening the stadium with a winning season.
