Everybody in the basketball world puts stock into it. Behind the Coaches poll and the AP poll this is the next in line. It counts out the big conferances but if you are in them and not good enough to get in the AP polls then oh well. People there is a lot more into basktball then being in the Ap top 25. Look at the midmajor poll and you will see teams who have beat teams in the Ap poll. Good grief. Why does everybody expect us to turn a neglected program for many years in to a national title contender in a few years. This is not a small step as many think, this is a huge step. To have 2 losses and still be in the poll shows that we are gaining respected in the basketball world.

UMMMMMM...... Being 21 in the mid-majors is a big deal. Good Job UNT!

1. I have hung out with him once and he was cool but quiet. 2. also has long arms. 3.All the players say hes good, i dont know why he doesnt get Pt. 4. Stewart is not the leader but he is crazy and fun. In the rec he always dunks before we play but when run games he doesnt. You saw in the last game he had a great putback but misses an easy one. For some reason he is not comfortable in the game. 5. Edwards gets down on himself fast and it realy hurts his game. 6. 7. he needs to shoot more while KD is out. 8. I told you. 9. Good news. 10.This years coach of the year.

This is expected and makes me very happy. We should win out and WKU should beat Tennessse win we play each other. I just hope we can bring it better then we did against Nebraska. 10-1 vs. 8-2 ooh i get excited just thinking about it.

Im sorry that is one thing of many that the Basketball team uses. The have a new practice gym. New dorms. New offices. New weight rooms. As you can see with the football situation many people apply not really thinking that they are going to come here. When people apply to college they apply to more then one , except unt students. When people apply for jobs they dont apply to one cross thier fingers hoping to get get it.

New practice facility and athletic center Basketball ueses it too. i dont know the particulars on the coaches since i am only a new fan of three years. Even though i like JJ when i first saw hsi resume i wondered why we hired him.

So if it was that easy to get a great coach to take us to the promised land why haven't we gotten on yet? If unt was such a hotbed for basketball why isnt our door getting knocked down with resumes? If the coach is stinking it up then he should be fired but not because he has a 14-14 record. Until two years ago unt basketball had horrible facilities. I want to win as much as yall do but if it was that easy to take a lower mid major and turn them into a winning school everybody will be doing it. I don't think he would have come here.. With a better team at a better conferance in Utep. Plus he went to a big 12 school over us. he wouldnt have come here.

Another upset in college basketball.

when his contract is up! I am not a big fan of giving coaches contract extensions or firing them in the middle of a contract. when the contract expires look at what he has done and if you want take him or go in a different direction. Again i ask is there a better coach out there that would come here?

Why does everybody think just because you like the coach you except decent? What do you think we should do? Everytime a coach doesnt make it to a bowl game or the Tournament they should get fired? How bout someone start a "pay off the coaches contracts fund" then whe yall dont like someone pay him to leave and get another one.

What got darrel Dickey fires was 5 wins in two years. Johnny Jones has had a decent team on the court every year for a football school. Some people were DD fans no matter what he did. Well I am a Johnny Jones Fan no matter what.

Because Hes has done more then any other coach in a long time. Plus they are not going to bomb out.

He said he wasn't getting enough PT. Does anyone other then me think that our three QB's aren't good enough. Snead come to the Green side.

He can gaurd 1-3 positions. He can shoot. Handle the rock. And he has size.

Oh no!!! What happened to the football coach? No matter what happens this year He has atleast one year left. With Flemmings, Collins, Sturns, Bell, Wooden, And Mangrum they are, to me, a better team.

After last nights games we are not even in the top 100. The top school with 1 more game shot 369 while we only shot 129. Also we are in the top 30 with 41% going in.

Currently we are ranked tied for 94 in three pointers attempted. Thats not very high for a three point shooting team to me. For ya'll who think we shoot too many I would love to hear some suggestions of what offense we could run. I was thinking we should not dribble at all. Just pass the ball up the court and then around to each other. Maybe this will cut down on about 7 or 8 turnovers.

Well for ya'll experts if you go back and look at the biggest comebacks since the 3 point line was installed it was because of the three point line. Look at most of the upsets this year, the cause was three pointers. When your down 25 and every other possesion results in a turnover any shot at the basket is a good shot. This team has no inside presence still, half the turnovers came off of trying to feed the post or the postman just lost the ball. When there is a beast clogging the paint with no respect for your postman what do you do, shoot the damn ball. When i say jack up threes i dont mean dribble down the court try to beat everyone and take a fade away three. i know yall want Wooden to be this saviour be he is not.

I wish they would have done something to attempt a comeback. Press, jack up threes, hold on to the ball, soemthing. If we play like that against WKU JJ will make them walk home because we will loose by mor then 40. I found another UNT weakness, themselves!

He would have had 50 points. They didn't even try to force him the ball. I am dissapointed with Wooden so far he has done nothing. He doesn't hit the glass hard, has no deafense, or offense, and hes slow and unathletic.
