We need energy! I Think we have the talent to win the title in the Belt. Our gaurds don't have the speed to beat the better gaurds in the league but I feel if we can get George and Hogans the ball in scoring position on the block and have them do what they can do we will be better. I love teams who can jack up the three but this team doesnt have it. Nobody has great range and with the line moved back i think it hurt White a lot and Niq keeps shooting from the girl's line for some reason. If Dennis, White, and Thompson get hot at the same time we are the best team in the belt. If they are cold we look like we did at Houston.

After following this poll for 5 years now I think it is worth nothing. I just look now to see how much respect we have or the lack of. I figured we would gain some more votes this week too but guess winning is not too important.

Where is Willis Point?

Of the DI basketball stadiums that I have been to the Super Pit is up there with the best. UTA-I never want to go back!!! Houston- sucked. thought i was at a circus tent. Rice- you can mistake it for a poor highschool gym! SMU & TCU- EWWW!!! UTSA and Texas State have DII revenues. Texas is ok but I would expext more from them. OSU was nice. We got a tour when we went this year and it was great, but they put in millions of dollars a couple of years ago to make it what it is now. UNT-I Love it. If anyone has been on the floor with 4,000+ screaming in a tight game you know how loud it gets. In the crowd you can not tell how loud everyone else gets because the sound travels to the court and not around the stadium. My big complaint is with a great RTVF program like ours why is our production equipment so crapy? The sound system at the pit just plain sucks! The two jumbotrons.....or minitrons are old and out of date. And the cameras and replay feed is unwatchable. As far as people coming to watch I think there is only two reasons people watch basketball. Either you like solid basketball the way it is supposed to be played which breeds winners, Gonzaga or Duke. Or people want to see high scoring, fast paced, dunking in your face action, old Runnin Rebels or San Diego State a few years ago.

No I was mad at Sturns because JJ did everything he could to make Sturns work. By no way was it Jones' fault. He only had one year left to play and wanted to be the man, but with White coming in he wasn't going to get his chance. I thinks JJ did everything the right way. I just took it as you thought Sturns was not good and that he made a bad move to go to a lower division. As far as the sunbelt being a crap league i was being sarcastic about that and the NBDL. I was just making a point that people look down on us too for being a crap league.

I was mad too that JJ couldn't make Sturns work at UNT. But can you fault a guy who wants to be better then a 6th man? He wanted to be the man even if that was on a bad team. He did great in a crap league ya but he did great and that got him noticed. I saw the all-star game he was in and the anouncers were alll over him saying he was the best player in that crap division and that got him noticed. Now he is in the NBDL another crap league but he is working to be the best. I came to unt the same year with Sturns, my bestfreind was sweetmates with him and I used to party with him when I lived at the ridge. He is a cool guy and nice. I have nothing bad to say about him. I thought he was a great player and could make a great point gaurd in the right system because he can make his own shots and sometimes shots for other people. He is quick and has great defense. He put on weight and at 6 foot 5 he can transition to that combo gaurd. So be mad that he did'n stay in our crap league the "sunbelt" because I am! But Stop Hating on Sturns!

With this team I think JJ mixes up the starting lineup a few times. This is not a team full of proven players. The only guys with more then one year of playing time on this team are Howerton and Stewart! This is not 2006-07 with Bell, Davis, Watson, Q, and Wooden. Guys will have to step up and earn their spots in the starting 5.

If we can get 2,000 fans into the Snake Pit as loud as we normaly are Cameron will be scared poopless. Im ready for this game, both Sam Houston Games, UTA back in the pit for Revenge, at Houston, at Arkansas, and OSU to make them regret scheduleing us. Home Schedule is kinda weak but 4 very makeable good road games!

He is actually black. I saw him play against Princeton last year and he is not a player I would want at UNT. He is a talented young man but not talented enough to play at the mid-major level.

I got my request too and got excited because I thought it would come with the schedule. No go though.

After losing the three best palyers on last years team and losing our top recruit in years this could have been a bad year. Throw in that 3 players that get plenty of minutes are freshmen we could have been looking a very bad team! Thanks Coach Jones!

I always thought they were a good team. The southland might get two teams in the tourney this year UTA and Sam Houston.
