  1. I would love to see them put the video online for us out of towners. And thanks RV, as I said in my previous post, we owe you a lot because I remember how things were before you got here.
  2. I asked RV point blank in 2006...he told me 2009....then it became 2010....now it is 2011.....soooooo, when is it...really. Hope I am still around for it.
  3. Redshirt Riley - good...there is alot more playing here than just one year of play. We have stadium issues and fund raising issues and Fan support issues at play. Once we get a new stadium built...Riley will be happy, TD and RV will be happy, you and I will be happy and we will be able to recruit a much higher caliber of player. We will then be able to play at a much higher level of football. We don't have the talent levels to be redshirting people, not now. And if you think for one moment that Riley will not get a shot at QB you are wrong...it will happen one way or another...probably this year, if not the next year.
  4. I for one remember going to games when I doubt there were 2000 fans. People just don't go far enough back to realize how much RV has done for this program and UNT athletics....no one is perfect (me of course being exempt) but he has worked had to make things happen at UNT, which we all can agree must be very tough, and now we have some facilities and a new stadium will happen soon...you can count on that. Thanks RV so very much. I can hardly wait to see how things are at UNT in another 5 years.
  5. maybe GMG can get the video and post it on the GMG site....that would be great for my day dreaming.
  6. Thanks for the pics, does anyone else have some pics of the stadium model they can post? Also, this is the old concept model, if we just spent 400,000 dollars for architectual plans, is it plans of this model or are there modifications or a new plan (model)?.....where are the drawings from HKS? The new stadium is very important to move this football program forward....recruiting, attendance, enhanced game day experience, top 50 programs to Denton...just everything, can't expect a top 50 program with Fouts...end of story.
  7. You sound like a liberal to me......maybe even with the media itself....wanting an apology for this....really!
  8. up and running....that's quite a stretch, don't you think..........................it totally sucks. As of tomorrow I will be an x customer.
  9. absolutely pathetic.....TD has not shown us anything since being at UNT...we obviously can't play football at any level...can't even be competitive.
  10. It was crap last year...looks like crap this year....I will be cancelling as well....sob's really piss me off.
  11. says on air now, no video or audio ...crap.
  12. Me no get big video feed in the sky either
  13. We love new members to the GMG site and to UNT. Stay involved and you will have fun....I went to most of the games when I was a grad student at UNT. Bring more friends to the games and the board and get them involved.
  14. The last time Tulsa came to Denton I brought two guest, UT x andTCU x...told them what a great team we had and super mario was great....they made my guest drop their umbrella's in the large garbage can and then we went in to see theunexpected shellacking of UNT.....my guest have declined future visits to the crappy Fouts Field for more "entertainment" and umbrella confiscation and so I have not been back to Fouts since then....nor do I plan to do so.....when we break ground on a new stadium, then I will consider returning to Fouts until the new stadium is completed...so this is the price losses at Fouts has on attendance. So.....build a damn stadium already....and quit letting other teams whip you like a red headed step child.
  15. We have seen more positive changes under RV and ALL other ADs combined as far as I am concerned. I have been on the UNT football watch since the Fry days and we now have some facilities and will get a new stadium. Those who have not been around that long just don't know how bad it has been in years past. While I am not happy with the KSU game, or the football program at this time, I do believe there will be many positive changes in the next 2-3 years...wins or coaching changes, facilities...like a new stadium...good home schedules, better fan support, etc.....give RV his credit...at UNT this is surely a hard job.
  16. DD won 4 sunbelt championships, then didn't perform for 2 straight years...the axe....and TD? Well, I think we should see some progress this year and he should get 3 years to make his case, then you have to question your decision....were talking sunbelt competition here.....look at the situation with RM...in my opinion he was given tooooo long and showed no positive trend...TD should have made a change mid season, perhaps we would have won a few more games last year and sure would have said something about TD making the right decisions for this program...sometimes you have to give things time; sometimes you have to cut your losses....life ain't easy. I do thing (as of now) that TD was a good choice for UNT and will prove to be an outstanding coach at the college level, but this is still to be determined....let's hope for the best.
  17. I wonder if this really should read "Mean Green hasn't shown anything yet"
  18. We have been steadily improving our athletics facilities and are planning a new stadium that will match the other state-of-the-art buildings on campus. Building a stadium will take commitment from our entire community — our alumni, students, supporters and Denton residents — and, we are working to make our vision a reality This doesn't say what we want to do...it says what we are doing....as I have said for sometime, the stadium will happen and soon and Dr B says "state of the art" which translates "it will have everything".....far out dude....Oh, sory, back in the 70's again.
  19. I have to agree with Travis " The thing that bugs me is how poor our offense was considering who all was returning". I was pretty sure we would have our butts handed to us....I have been around NT football too long to expect otherwise, but to have our bread and butter aspect of our team...that is, offense, especially passing attack, to do soooooo poorly, well...anyway, expect Tulsa to drop kick us as well. This will probably be a long season of being on the wrong end of the scoreboard. While I like others are praying this isn't the case, TD has not proved anything at UNT....nothing. He better gets some wins on the board because his image is going to be tarnished be the end of this season....just hope things change like they did when DD head went on the block before we started winng Sun Belt championships....but even then, we ususally got drop kicked by teams from other conferences...ie NO bowls, etc...with a few exceptions. After more than 30 years of NT football pain...things gotta change.
  20. This is more of a message to Todd Dodge than to UNT.
  21. I think TD has to run the ball for us to be successful and he made it a point to do so. I don't call 6 points successful. I am glad DeLoach is on board, but this is hardly a performance to be happy about.
  22. At least ARk St is representing the Sun Belt well, it sure is n't UNT.
  23. For year two of Dodge ball....just pathetic....where was Vizza when he wasn't overthrowing the ball? I beleive there is some improvement on def but the offense just plain sucks.
  24. Yes it would, a great deal, in fact ...no stadium and UNT football is doomed...it will never go anywhere. The Wall STreet Journal had an extensive article on this very topic last Thurs, the 29th, talking about how BYU and Utah ? had much lower coaching salaries, but winning programs due to there stratagies of build good facalities so they could recruit better...and it worked. Check out the artilce...fits UNT exactly...good article.
