I had a young lady...unt student...call last night seeking donations for the college of Business. ( I am a 79 MBA grad). We got in a discussion and I found out she was not from the COB but was from the school of arts (?). In talking about football she was very excited about the stadium vote, knew all about it and was voting yes for the stadium....said she was going to get her friends to vote yes as well. She was disappointed in the team, like us all, but said she hoped to be able to return as a grad and go to games with friends, etc......so there is hope.

I have seen NOTHING in a year and half....only excuses, pathetic play and a trendline pointing down with a hugh slope....and...the damn games are UNWATCHABLE...what more could you say....I don't like it but I think Dodge just has to go...2yrs of losses with DD, now 2 yrs with Dodge, the next thing you know we have 5-6 years of losses and pain and we have been the WORSE team in Div 1, not a bad team...THE WORSE....do we not have any pride....would any other couch make us worse?...any?....the answer is you can't get below the WORSE. Anyway, its just sad..we should even be having this discussion......lets just build a stadium and tell RV how we feel and let him make whatever decisions he will make, but I think I am done for the season....no more games, just read the scores and post on board.

I agree...just pathetic. Following since mid 70's (grad MBA 79) and I will say this has been the worse 2 yrs ever...no doubt. Guys, you know it when you find it and this (Dodge) isn't it. Not even competitive and it is just to bad and painful to even watch the game...which is really sad. Looks like RV made a pretty bad decision....anyway, the only thing to do is get this stadium vote passed and start construction asap....no stadium and UNT football is history, it will go the way of UTA and it will be the last time I have anything to do with UNT, as is the same for my relationship with UTA (BBA 76)... as for Dodge, what happens here?....ask RV.

NOT True....the sky is falling and has been for years, with the possible exception of the 4 good DD years. Thats the point....this is getting old and we need to act faster and do something about our MG problems sooner, not later. We have finally taken some action of facilities issues and I do believe we will build a long overdue stadium...hoping it will be 35K and first class, who knows...but we have to get this coaching and talent issues addressed or it will be more of the same. yours truely, chicken little

I agree. I have been watching this team since early 70's , div 1 and 1AA and this team is pathetic. It isn't a matter of winning, it is a matter of not putting a pathtic team on the field that is so embarrassing that you can't walk out of the stadium and look anyone in the eye. Dodge better hope he turns this around or he will end up back in the high school ranks with 1/3 the salary. I wish I had the faith in Dodge others have, but I questioned the decision of hiring a high school coach in the first place (remember Dennis Parker-what a joke). Anyway, I finally got on board and I am afraid this may be a sinking ship....I hope I am wrong. Every week we hear the same old story of how much better we will be, but the results are often worse....kinda like last years defense. And mentioning defense, where was DeLoach in all of this....perhaps we shouldn't even have a secondary, couldn't be worse....anyway, MG where are you?

Maybe you would be better off taking that 1000 bucks and hiring students to hand out flyers supporting the stadium, answering questions and the such. Let's see at 50 bucks for a few hours work....20 people.... or post posters around campus...etc...does this violate the rules?

It was....I also brought two guess to that Tulsa game...tcu x and UT x ....embarassed and guess never to return...gone forever. I also have not been to fouts since and will not return until I see ground breaking for a new stadium and a team that can at least loose by less than 30 points...pathetic.

This is really a coaching issue, in my opinion. Talent is an issue as well...for sure, but we were much more competitive even when we were div 1AA under the likes of Corky Nelson....since I have been following UNT football since Frys' days, I'll have to say...overall... I have not seen worse during the last 4 yrs, especially, the last 2 yrs under Dodge....I left the game in 3rd Qtr....just too damn painful to watch anymore.

Losses like these magnify the reason we need to build a new and bigger stadium....so we can recruit, among other things. competition is getting tougher all the time and if you want to recruit some real talent,,,,get a stadium under construction...soon.

Pipe down....it should be obvious by now that you are going to get your stinkin stadium....way too much smoke to be no fire...get it. And there are plenty of people with money (big money) pledged to build this stadium...increasing student athletic fees are just part of the funds and is requird....as it should be. And, I for one would not be opposed to paying alot more for tickets to go to this proposed stadium than Fouts...which as we all know is....well...is lacking. Us who have been around NT long enough, know damn well NT doesn't throw money around (DD buyout, hotel lease buyout, architectual plans, land survery, etc) without BIG plans to do something with the UNT football situation.....you have RV nd Dr Pohl and Dr B to thank.....so there.

If anything they sould espand the upper deck...take some from endzone (generally poor seating). I know when I come to games I will want to have a seat in the upper deck, not lower area. I hope they 't cheap out.

what stands out is poor pass protection and only 4.7 yrds per pass....Rusty avg 8.9 yrds per pass....so we need better pass protection and little bit longer passes.....genius!

Is this what UNT football has come down to...comparing how bad we will lose to someone else, like SMU....surely we have not sunk this low.
