agree....outside of a few nice plays, this team is just hard to watch....like it has been for the last few years....time to get a coach...or maybe an AD too.

thumbs ups to a great coaching staff....made the changes necessary with a team plagued with injuries to win this game...shows smarts by the OC and DC. Thumbs up to a team that showed character....this is what we are trying to build in these young men and this team...when the football is over...the character keeps going with them through life....I am very proud of these young men....they have represented themselves and UNT well....Hey guys...this wasn't WKU !!

SMU has the Dallas market but it is a niche market right now their attendance doesn't indicate this to be the case...they have the newspaper and tv, thats all.

This is likely more of a light summary, the real deal might have recommendations of coach terminations and and other things best not aired publicly. I think this is much more likely...must be something below the surface...ie coaching, etc, because this report is at the high school level, as is the presentation...perhaps this was just a little state cash for Rawlins buddy...perhaps this was Rawlins checkup on RV performance...perhaps this is some lobbying money fir unt's conference interest...perhaps Rawlins needs this to get approval for increase in coaches salaries...who knows, but I sure hope it isn't just this weakass report.

we have been losing for years

so much of the grand opening is about creating a good feeling in fans to return and support the mg...getting your ass kicked by u of h in the first game is not the best idea and tlking about a win over a "spare" is outhere.....we are a horrible program and have been for most of the 35 yrs I have been folloeing the program...so I wouldn't assume us beating a 1aa program is written in stone...just look at our record...we barely beat wku , a provisioal 1a team. you don't want people, some who will be attending for the first time to leave with a neg attitude about unt football...it is bad enough as it is...sooooo sad.

ditto.....this is not news...it is mostly the status quo...just worse now....contrast UNT with say TxTech, Houston, etc...and you can see how bad everyting is at unt...the team, marketing,media mgmt,etc...bad.

td doesn't crap....he has destroyed what was left of unt football....while getting paid pretty well for being the biggest failure in unt history..he is paid to do a job...and has failed big time...should have been fired 2 yrs ago...where are you RV ?....and how are we going to look opening the new stadium getting our ass kicked by Houston...not the best selection either. If you think about it..UNT has been in the bottom of college football most of your life...for some, that is all they can remember...RV..you are going to loose your fan/student base if you are not careful...or maybe your job...the culture, management...everything about unt football seems to have been mismanaged....when will it end? TD=disaster.

I left the bar I was at because so many people were laughing at unt's play....embarrassing....TD hould have been fired after the second season like many wanted....then season three....now season four...this game was just hard to watch...pathetic....feel sorry for the players. time for TD to move on.

MC certainly is bringing the mystique back. I am mystified by our use of Riley Dodge. I am mystified why, after 2 games at OC for UNT and no previous head coaching experience, some think MC is the best person to head this team. I'm not saying he is the best...certainly after putting RD in the game...which may have cost us the game....it certainly killed drives...it puts a big question mark in my mind, but what I am saying is he probably will be the next HC....politics, money, experience...etc. There are probably plenty of good choices out there, just have to go find them and pay them. 0

I love RV! His passion rivals only those of us on this board. Lay off of him. RV's heart is in this gig at UNT....he is the best AD we have ever had...probably ever will have....just look at Athletic village...and consider what he had to work with....those of you who are knocking RV have NO prospective. As for coaches....I just don't think TD is the man, didn't before he was hired and don't now. maybe he will suddenly turn things around like DD did, but I don't think so...if we win, it will probably be in spite of TD...you better hope in doesn't put in RD as QB. If UNT is going to move up, they are going to have to ante up the bucks and get a serious coach....sometimes you get what you pay for...in the case of TD we didn't even get that ! (hows that for English !)

Tune has shown us what great character he has....that of champions on and off the field. ( and a damn good qb) Any parent should be proud to have such a son. I would sure think so.

Well old timer...I have been following UNT since the Fry days in the mid 70's and what I do know is since then we have had two winning runs...Fry for a couple of years aand DD for 4 years...out side of a season or two when we were 1AA we have had nothing at NT except as noted.....This kind of performance would NOT be accepted at any real legit football program...not even at the Sunbelt Level....It appears UNT has decided to invest more in its football program...new stadium and all...they better demand a winning program if they are to keep the fans, increase the revenue and get in a better conference (which sure doesn't appear to be on the horizon). There should be NO more excuses..not now and not anytime in the future....things are changing too much in the college football world to allow this anymore.

Groundhog day sums it up....it was a repeat from when UNT was down a TD as soon as Rice first touched the ball to the repeated mistakes.. and RD plays....you know, the dodges are like the clintons or don johnson....they just never go away. Very sad indeed.
