I saw your interview yesterday and was quite impressed...but I have perspective...I can remember , while a grad student at UNT in the 70's, setting in the stands at Fouts in the rain with maybe a few hundred fans watching football. The changes that have come about at UNT since you have taken over as AD are nothing less than astounding....I am a big fan (x with the TD hire) and realize you are the best AD we have ever had...we owe you and some others like UNT Flyer a tremendous amount of graditude. We truely have a great opportunity to turn this progran, and more importantly, the culture of UNT football around....I am sure you are the man to do it....thanks again.

A GOLD star for Harry...I would hope we will pay a min of 500K...otherwise, it will be just pure luck what you get...probably need to pay 700K +. If they don't pay "the going rate" for top talent, then they will fail to move this program forward. UNT should really be in the boat with the likes of TTech, OSU, K state, etc (based on school size, etc ) but we are in the boat with WKU and LaMonroe, et al because we never made a committment to football, changed the culture, rec'd a bid to a major conference, etc....now is the time to make our move, our statement and change our culture as it relates to football and school spirit...better conference, etc...well could be too late, just have to see. We do truely have the size, location and now facilities to move to a whole new level if we do the right things....lets start with a quality HC pick.

Now Canales is the man, so most of you clammoring to see this will get your wish. I don't want to hear any of the injury excuses for coach Canales that were rebuffed for Dodge. Coach Canales, make lemonade. If not, you're out of here too. Give me a break...canales has been OC for 6 games...not 3 1/2 years...having won a total of 6 games....I think this guy has talent...don't expect him to win with what is left, but it will be interesting to see what he can do as a temp replacement for TD. I think he did a hell of a game against Clemson and not so sure waht was going on with Army game...anyway...guess well see !

Do we really want a guy that hit a player at half time in front of his team at halftime, then lied to everyone about it. It was also found in the investigation that he had the kid meet him at a church late at night to come up with a cover up story He met the kid at a church....what more do you want ?

Way past due !!! Anyway, I like TD and wish him the best. I hope RV makes a better decision next time. It will be interesting to see how Canales manages things the rest of the year....I hope UNT spends money to get a good coach...no Walmart coaches please !

I think UofH star QB is out...UofH against our team next year should be a disaster, unless there are major changes...you have a team that beats teams like OSU and you have us...who...well...can win a game or two each year against the likes of WKU....place your bets gentlemen !

agreed...if your decision is made about a coaching change, then move on....*hit...its been 6 years since we have really won any games..quit waisting time folks! Even us who didn't like the hire have always said he is a "stand up guy"..accept responsibilty...I mean...he's not Obama !

Dodge and the Mean Green are holding out hope that they can give their fans something to be excited about in the last few weeks of the season What this admin and TD must not realize is that the season is over for most MG fans...we don't care if MG wins any games the rest of the season...or should we say..we don't care too much...the season is shot...gone...over...like every other season for the last 6 years...the buck stops here (that is at RV's desk)...He is responsible for keeping TD this long...for hiring a HS coach in the first place. I like RV and I also like TD, but someone needs to go...and soon....way too many people are unhappy with this program !

I was watching the game on MG premium in Houston...turned if off just before the half...had enough...just pathetic !!!! Plan to cancel MG premium and cancel my plans to attend the K state game...wow, that game will be a joke...kinda of like the last 4 years (really 6 years now).

Once the stands get that bare and apathetic, the change has to come immediately exactly...the students and fans need to see immediately that RV hears them and this will not be accepted...no more status quo at UNT...expectations will be higher, the people supporting the program will be listen to and UNT plans to set the standard for non AQ football programs....he better move quickly, because all eyes are upon him at this time, assessing his leadership of a program that failed 2 years ago and has now hit bottom.

RV owes the students, who pay for most of this, BETTER than what we have here....ALWAYS in the bottom 10 in 1A...this is nothing less than total mismanagement on RV's part...many of these students come and go from UNT and having never seen a winning game...just pathetic and his inaction is worse. How could anyone who is competent in his job allow this disaster to go on this long...how!

I agree...I am an RV fan, but RV is the reason he is even at UNT, much less 4yrs.

and now, for coach of the year......Todd Dodge !

well that means nothing....when SMU only won one game,before Jones, it came against a TD team with 600+ yrds passing....and TD we still able to lose that game.
