What I want to see is someone be held accountable and make sure we never hand over one of our major three jobs to inexperience ever again....that would be RV

I think the expansion of the nBE means trouble for the nCUSA just like the expansion of the AQ conferences means trouble for the nBE...trouble for the nCUSA means trouble for UNT since we have basicly had a failed program for the last 8 yrs...are we in the process of turning this around...maybe, but I'm not convinced yet...2013 season will tell me where we are...if we lose to a startup like UTSA, without facilities...then that will tell us just how good our current coach is...our decision process on our football program is way too slow...that is one reason we are in our current situation.

Big East football schools facing big questions

and by saying SMU and Houston go to sunbelt...really.?...never would happen. -
well, I don't know...watched ODU playing G Southern the other day...playing at ODU...full stadium and gotta tellu...they would probably kick our ass in football. UNCC probably so , as well as FAU and/or FIU.....but from SMU standpoint...UNT is the regret.

If any more of the old Cusa members leave, then all bets are off...the momentum to exit has just increased....and we should immediately look for a hookup with MWC. -
I agree, RV and Rawlins should be infront of the guys from MWC and get us hooked up because I don't see this playing well for the new C-USe to b A....this could turn in to a game of "who bails next". or if anything, perhaps now is the time for a CUSA-MWC merger...not just an association.

not a lawyer...don't play one on TV, but i would think that with all the defections, you could make a case for paying nothing...make them come and get it...anyway, a smart school would have "outs" put in the contract...for situations just like this...don't you think?

would love to come since I am in the DFW area this month....but not for $50 bucks....are you kidding me? (sunglasses on)

Concerning 2'nd Yr. Turnarounds @ FBS Level
houstonmeangreen replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Probably not...only UNT would be stupid enough to hire a high school coach...for the second time!!! (remember Dennis!) -
RV needs to be held accountable...

Hire UTA's coach...they kicked our ass last year big time....gotta tell ya - that game was hard to watch...NT looked bad, couldn't get to the basket and missed almost all of the 3 pt shots. TM never seemed to get the ball..how many shots did he take? -
I find it hard to believe our red zone conversions were as high as 71%....are you sure....kinda of hard to get down there when your third down conversions are 33%. Be interesting to know what our ...2nd and____ yards were...since we seem to always run on first, I would like to know how productive we were on 1st downs. Also, does the red zone conv include field goals or only TDs....I'm guessing only TDs.

Cowherd sums up the Mean Green haters

I never thought Dodge should have been hired...Mac...didn't really know him, but looking at his record you have to wonder, but the location and conference were probably a big problem kinda like NT trying to build football teams with Fouts and no athletic fee, etc. Mac has really spun things...ie he is the greatest thing since sliced bread...well next year we need to see some of this he touts...I say, if he were to lose to Tx State...and where they have come from...he should be let go immediately..hes not for us...if we go 4-8 or 5-7...well not in his favor, but merits evaluation...who we lost to, why, by how much, whats on the horizon, etc....lets not do a Dodge retake...TD was here for 2 yrs too long and now with the conference shifts again we have nothing to show in the win/lost column...anyway, I'm hoping the best for Mac and thus UNT...just no more of the same failure to act....and act quickly. -
Setting the record straight on Mac's recruiting
houstonmeangreen replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Well, we will see next year...if we lose to UTSA, I think that says it all as far as MAC's progress...that is when I would give him the boot...after that game, b/c I would now know he was the guy...move on...UTSA make for a great comparison. Stop camparing Mac to Dodge...Dodge was a no go in my opinion from the start. -
I think if UNT loses to UTSA next year, you will have all you need to know to know that Mac is not the guy....he should be given the boot at that time...he will have shown you the progress he has made....he would have NO valid excuse to lose to UTSA and keep his job.

Spring football will answer a lot of questions
houstonmeangreen replied to trussbussdad's topic in Mean Green Football
Thoughts on DT....great guy, tough, has character...betting he will go far in life....I saw many screwups by him...just like most of the other players out there...over throwing the ball....yes, many times....but I also saw him throw some great passes...and so have you...his lack of running ability hurts him...as does has lack of ability to look over the field for open receivers...I saw many wide open receivers he missed...actually often....but I think if they structured passes of a shorter nature, with recievers in the same area..like crossing patterns, etc...or long and short on single side of field, perhaps he could do better...perhaps he just isn't being taught how to do the things he needs to do....anyway,...he is a middle of the pack QB but I thnik he is a top of the pack person. -
Better Record Last Year... Why?

DT doesn't stike me as a quiter....he may not be the qb, but I don't see him leaving the team
