i didn't hear him say it but on the local station this am they were doing a piece on the sun belt preseason rankings and the goober on the tube quoted k-mac as saying 'it should have been unanimous' about unt's pick to win the west. there are plenty up here in the commonwealth that are paying attention to jj and company....apparently our coach is too.

all 3 were at wku friday night. i didn't see the guard but saw the 2 big guys getting the royal treatment from pres. ransdell and everyone else in diddle. kinda hard to miss those guys. from what i read on h.h. omv's high school coach in san antonio put wku onto this trio. if we dont' get them, i have full faith in k-mac's abilities. i heard yesterday that k-mac is GONE if we do anything in the tourney this year. it was someone pretty close to the situation too...not some jakeleg like me.

pretty good breakdown by you guys on the toppers. i had said all along that i'd believe boyd was playing for us when i saw him checking into the scorers table for a real game. never happened. his outside shot was horrific but he would have abused sunbelt guards going to the hole. wish it could have worked out but the young man had issues. we'll be led by slaughter this year. i really believe he will be able to put up c-lee type numbers for his senior season. evans is looking really good but has been inconsistent in the past. kerusch had a phenomenal first year. yes he and pettigrew are undersized but as someone said they both play much larger. sergio should average a double double this year. he's one of the best instinctual rebounders i've ever seen play. i went back and watched the sunbelt tourney games, the ncaa games and the louisville game. the thing that stood out in all of them is even though undersized we rebounded very well. i predicted a .500 season for us last year due to the losses of lee, brazleton and rogers. i was very wrong. k-mac is a players coach and they love him. harper is a phenomenal coach and in line to succeed mac. i'll make no predictions for this season as the schedule is much tougher. louisville at their place, vandy in nashville (sommet center, not vandy), siu on the road. houston, tulane, murray state and mississippi state all in diddle. we could play better than last year and still not have as good a record.

thanks to all of the mean green fans that pulled for wku. i know i pulled like hell for you guys when you played memphis a few years back. i still say that if you had been matched up against anyone else in the field other than memphis you would have rocked someone's world. i was talking to courtney lee's dad yesterday morning on the phone and he was very complimentary of your squad. we were talking about how the pundits don't have a clue when it comes to our conference and what a game you guys gave us in the semis. good luck next year and lets get the sunbelt steamrolling.....except when you play us.

good job mean green from topper land. don't know who to pull for against the muts. jj skeers me way more than kermit the frog. he's already proven that he can win the sunbelt tourney. kermit = fail. monroe was pretty ineffective against us until the last 2 or 3 minutes when we weren't trying to foul. he's turned into a freakin' tub of lard. played like a punk up here. he musta been eatin' grandmas buttermilk biscuits and flapjacks the whole time he was injured. that said, there was a reason he was a preseason all conference baller. he was tough against us in the past. we got fiu in the first game so i'm not overlooking them. they have some major league talent in asprilla and company. good luck to you guys at hot springs. unless we're playing each other.
