  1. 6’5” 230 lbs. Originally from Fort Meyers, Fl Welcome.
  2. Oh, he played a bunch four or five years ago.
  3. We have a reported 17 players in town in their OV and this…
  4. La Tech sucks. These bowls are ridiculous with their pricing. It is the equivalent to selling out an Elvis concert only to get this.
  5. Oh, I must have missed when TWU played in a bowl game, played on any of the ESPN outlets, were discussed on a sports website, etc. Care to enlighten me?
  6. Well, that pissed off three of their alumni. Didn’t think they would follow us or be part of this board.
  7. I want to see a bowl get cancelled and college football/ESPN deal with that fallout.
  8. Exactly. It was the same when I was in school. This is just an easy out for these companies.
  9. That would be awesome.
  10. Will never happen. The TWU alumni would blow a fuse.
  11. Good. I can take a leak on the esteemed boulevard.
  12. Screw TWU. I could not care less if we piss off their whiny alumni. What are there 100 or so in Denton? They garner zero attention, zero media coverage, etc. I am sure upset TWU alumni are going to negatively affect PACCAR’s bottom line. So many are purchasing their products.
  13. It blows my mind that Peterbilt/PACAR has been right down the road for 40 years now and we have cultivated what? Our leadership should push them to support us like Fed Ex supports Memphis. I mean they only achieved quarterly revenues of $9.08 billion in the fourth quarter of 2023. https://www.paccar.com/news/current-news/2024/paccar-achieves-record-annual-revenues-and-net-income/
  14. I wish Jeanty would win representing the "little guys" but Hunter is a once in a generation talent.
  15. Yep. Injuries have really slowed Ragsdale. He looked like he had lost a step early this year prior to never seeing the field again. I don't know if he hadn't fully recovered from his injury and off season surgery, or if the injury/surgery had left him a step slower. He was never the fastest of "shiftiest" RB, but I applaud him for him contributions and wish him well.
  16. Probably because he doesn’t have a future here and Cobbs is “lauding” him for his character. Cobbs is a class act.
  17. When do practices begin? There are a number of big story lines for @Brett Vito to address, such as starting QB, OL prep, what defensive system will we run, and ill Odom still be the stand in DC, etc?
  18. Could be another situation of a great assistant/recruiter that isn’t a great head coach, much like a coach we hired a while back.
  19. That personality meshing with 18-22 year olds makes me laugh. Can you see Belichick sitting at the kitchen table of some five star recruit trying to talk to his parents and relate to this kid?
  20. Yep. The system can’t have it both ways. Either pay the kids a salary and let them pay for their schooling or stick with the scholarship system. Having hardworking students pay an “athletics fee” to support these programs while these athletes are getting a salary on top of all the benefits of their scholarship is system set up to fail.
  21. Because it is a bullshit system. I don’t need some kid running a podcast that gives him the attitude that he is all knowing to tell me that his opinion on the system is better than mine. It is what it is. I don’t like it. I see kids chasing dollars hoping to secure their future and probably forgoing their education. Do you really think Chandler Morris is worth the reported $1 million dollars Okie St is throwing at him? Do you think Ohio State’s $200 million payroll provided a solid return? It is not a sustainable system and is not being administered as intended. These collectives are paying kids a salary to just be on the team. It has nothing to do with marketing their likeness, their name or their image. It has turned our program into nothing more than a prep program for the P4 teams. We, UNT, spend time and money developing kids for what? For them to move along to the highest bidder and we get $0 in return. It is not a sustainable system. Why do “G5” donors want to throw money at these kids that have zero loyalty to us? What is the return? Hopefully 9 or 10 wins, a conference title and some BS bowl game only to watch our best players walk prior to the bowl game/playoffs? Sorry but the dialogue and “talking points” haven’t changed. It is nothing more than a game of greed. This is college sports with misplaced priorities that are ruining the game, in my humble opinion. That satisfy you?
  22. Thank goodness it is a lane and not a boulevard
