  1. What Weiberg meant to say was, "You can have a playoff, but all of the BcS schools will go their own route and keep the bowl games and the dollars and leave none for the non-BcS."
  2. You can take the city out of the equation except for deciding to over develop this are prior to the expansion, which, as you stated, is the state's job. Same as University Dr./380.
  3. Off the top of my head, DD signed Ransom, Pistole, Obre and Weathers last year. Other than Weathers, who really produced this year? What Juco's in the past have really produced besides Bense, Galbreath and Pruitt? Covington was a waste at the corner.
  4. By the results below, yes, my question still hasn't been answered. Results of University of Louisiana Web Search
  5. I hope the whole team shows up and not just one, unless that one is Mrs. Mike Ditka or Mrs. Bill Brasky.
  6. USC's defense costs them the game. No score prediction, but UT wins.
  7. Why is this realistic criteria for 2006 but not this year? Just curious.
  8. "They" would be me, and I did attend a few basketball games of JJ's while still living in the area and was planning on attending the Houston game before it was moved to Denton. My point is that JJ has taken over a program that was run into the ground by Trilli and tried to turn things around. I was critical of JJ losing in the first round of the tournament last year and for, what I thought, were poor in-game decisions. The point of my post was to state that I enjoy the fact that JJ thanks the fans, asks that more attend and portrays (sells) the program in a positive light. e-bone, feel free to use my name next time. You are not hurting my feelings. I find your attitude amusing. Plus, you usually complain about football information being posted on the basketball board. Funny, you don't seem to be complaining about a Coach Jones thread on the football board.
  9. Is that Louisiana Lafayette or Louisiana Monroe?
  10. Yes, and I also heard him thank all of the fans for coming out and supporting the team following the win last Saturday evening. Another novel approach to winning over the fans and selling the program.
  11. Here's my take using Mack Brown as an example. I believe Brown is the face of the program that sets the tone of the team, sells the program to recruits, supporters, alumni, etc... His coordinators are the real coaches. Just my two cents.
  12. Cool and damp in NW Houston. Light rain and temperature in the low 50's. Of course, the weather folks down here make it sound like we are suffering through a deep freeze. To all of you in the DFW area, be safe.
  13. Yes, and he was the same coach that brought disrespect to Colorado.
  14. There's nothing wrong with having the balls to state your ultimate goal. Seems many loved Fry for basically saying the same thing back in the 70's.
  15. Wish our BOR shared this sentiment. There's how you avoid a buyout clause. I would argue North Texas has more to offer than Utah minus the stadium and conference. Wish RV had this latitude with our HC.
  16. I look forward to seeing Thomas on the field and living up to MedPilot's hype, but I'm worried about Raymond. He has had grade problems every since he arrived on campus.
  17. After the New Year would be best considering I'm sure everyone is busy. I work near the Galleria and live in NW Houston, but anywhere is fine with me.
  18. My all-time favorite is the Rotan Yellow Hammers
  19. Kind of like burying old mascots so that they can "see" the scoreboard?
  20. Doesn't he read this board?
  21. Anyone else see the humor in the above excerpt from MeanGreenBuzz's post?
  22. I don't think the administration is allowing some of this to happen.
  23. Anyone stop to think what might be the culprit here? Any of you see the movie "Major League?" Bob Uecker was the announcer for the Indians and was drunk most of the time, because the Indians were so bad he figured nobody was listening. The liquor could have been talking Saturday.
