  1. I emailed RV and here is his response. John, The men's gym has lines going in every direction and would be a bad venue by today's standards. We are only going to play three games at the most at TWU. This is being done so that all 11 teams can participate instead of just eight. So most of the tournament will be at the Super Pit. Thanks for your concern and I look forwark to seeing you soon. Rick V.
  2. 6 spots left. I will be out of town and away from the computer for much of next week, so sign up now. The auto draft will be set after I return on Friday.
  3. From the official website: Maxey Named To All-Tournament Team FRESNO, CA (3/15/04)- North Texas freshman pitcher Katy Maxey was named to the 2004 Clovis Auto Row Softball Classic All-Tournament Team. North Texas (7-31) went 0-6 in the Fresno tournament, while facing three nationally-ranked teams. Maxey started all six contests in the tournament for the Mean Green, posting an ERA of 3.86. In the 1-0 loss to San Diego State, the freshman gave up only two hits and one unearned run in seven innings of work. Against Long Beach State, the Katy, TX native spread out seven hits over six innings, giving up only run in the 1-0 loss. Until the eighth inning, Maxey did not give up a run against Utah, while spreading out four hits. Offensively, the freshman posted one of the two Mean Green hits in the game, her fifth double of the year. In the top of the eighth, Utah hit two singles and a three-run home run against Maxey to take the 4-0 win. Overall, Maxey has won five games this season with a 4.15 ERA. She has started 26 games, including the last 18 straight. She is second on the team with 22 hits and five doubles. North Texas finishes up its 18-game road trip with a non-tournament doubleheader against Cal State Northridge on Tuesday, March 16. The first pitch is at 3 pm.
  4. TWU??? Liberty Christian????? What about the old "Snake Pit?"
  5. IronMan4, it must be Towe, because, as much as I tried, I just couldn't pull for UNO.
  6. It is Valeri Bure, not Pavel. Plus, any man named Valeri worries me.
  7. I am a bigger fan of ULL, but I will be pulling for UNO and the fashion challenged Monty Towe since they beat us. Plus, I feel ULL could still get an invite to the NIT, something I don't think would happen to UNO if they lose tonight.
  8. I really don't want to pay $5.00 a month on something that I will use maybe once or twice a year.
  9. Sounds like a player we could use immediately. I would like to see your son become one of the current players to bring our Bball program back to where it was when I was a kid in the 70's.
  10. Rivals.com link is below. So far, the following two players have signed with UNT. Michael Sturns (North Crowley HS) 6'4" 180lbs. PG/SG Quincy Williams (Midwest City, OK) 6'7" 206lbs. PF rivals.com Who is your son, and who is he deciding between?
  11. Make some free throws and we win this game. Very disappointing.
  12. Is this the young man from Molina? He was one of the best high schoolers in the area a couple of years ago. I like the list of recruits, but we need some size in a bad way.
  13. 14. Is that worth $5 million per year? Wait three years and draft Johnny Quinn and spend this on a good running back, pass rushing defensive end, or QB. Then again, just wait until next year and draft Patrick Cobbs and then you only need a QB and the Dend.
  15. UNT Athletics Could this be a sign of future arrangements with this company?
  16. Come on now, this will be a good way to spend the offseason.
  17. Asics. I am about to buy a pair of Pearl Izumi shoes that are awfully comfortable.
