Blanton Named All-Conference For The Second Straight Season DENTON (3/4/04)- North Texas senior forward Kim Blanton has been named to the All-Conference team in the Sun Belt for the second straight season. Blanton, who leads the team in scoring, rebounding, field goals, free throws, and steals, was an Honorable Mention selection. Blanton has recorded a team-high five double-doubles this season along with scoring a career-high 27 points against New Orleans. She was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week for her efforts against the Privateers. Blanton has scored in double figures in 19 games this season and 15 points or more in nine games. Blanton is the seventh player in North Texas history to be a two-time all-conference selection.
