  1. I was sitting in the upper part of section D during the game, but moved to the deck during the late 3rd and 4th quarter. There was a fan with headphones on that would turn a "talk" loudly towards the pressbox after failed plays, etc... I never heard him cuss, don't know if it was Season Ticket Holder and don't know who his comments were directed towards. This seems out of character for George Dunham, but the way this season has played out, who knows?
  2. Couldn't have said it any better myself. Thanks to all of you.
  3. Agreed, but my parents always taught me to tell the truth. It appears Got5OnIt had the same upbringing.
  4. I agree. Just look at the Texas Rangers and their replacing old Arlington Stadium with The BallPark. They could rarely fill that old frying pan on I30, but now their crowds are much better.
  5. I was torn between the second and third choice. Mainly because I live in Houston. Now, if I lived in Denton, I would pick number one.
  6. Well, with our AD we are half way there.
  7. Coaches are corrupting our educational institutions? How did you come to that conclusion?
  8. Houston Alumni Group
  9. Is there an active alumni chapter in the Houston area? If not, who all would be interested in starting one up? If you are an alum, please reply to this message, and I'll start a roster.
  10. True, but the SMUt game will draw a crowd anyway. Plan this for another game that isn't expected to draw a big crowd based on the opponent alone and then market it to death. Oh wait, did I say market a game? Sorry.
  11. I wonder if Baz will get to kick in any of these. I doubt it, but he deserves it.
  12. The blocked punt. Showed me that PC was a team player. My other favorite memories are of how he spoke of North Texas in interviews and how he represented himself. This young man will have earned two degrees by the time he graduates, set a record as our greatest running back ever, always spoke highly of his time at North Texas, recruited JaMo and exhibited his team first attitude last year when he was injured by mentoring JaMario. #43 should be retired and put up on the pressbox by Mr. Greene, Mr. Haynes, Mr. Gill and Mr. Renfro.
  13. Hurricane Relief Fundraiser
  14. So, back to the original intention of this thread, did Wyndham pull their sponsorship?
  15. Question: How did alumni find out about this survey? Was one mailed out? Answers: Unless you log on to gmg.com or go to unt.edu every so often, you would never know. Question #2 is no. If they, LJ, wanted a true picture, this would have been mailed out to every faculty member, student and alumni.
  16. It's pretty obvious that the apple didn't fall far from the tree.
  17. Exactly. I saw Coach Jones at the ASU game Saturday. He took time to speak to everyone that spoke to him and seemed like a really nice man. I've never heard anything bad about Coach Jones from those who came in contact with him. In fact, I seem to remember some of the basketball tailgaters mentioning that he came out to the parking lot and thanked them for being there.
  18. My point exactly. It is sad how these parents allow this to happen to their kids without thinking about the long term ramifications.
  19. Great logo? What does a wolf have to do with Arkansas State?
  20. Where are the parents?
  21. Another key difference is losing Eric Wofford to Arizona. The O-Line hasn't been the same since.
  22. I find it funny that the Fort Worth paper is the one to notice and write about this. The DRC would never consider doing this or investigating any other "negative" about the program.
  23. A threat of rain kept you from attending the game?
  24. Jamel had his good and bad moments. I found something comical on Saturday. Jamel blitzed, had a clear shot at Noce, hit him up high without trying to wrap Noce up, Noce spun out of this "hit" and was sacked by another player. Branch jumps up, and he and Holman are celebrating. Why would you celebrate a missed tackle?
