Find a way to get the bell tug across the track and positioned by the Model A. Also, years ago Scrappy had a go cart that he would drive around the track. It was the Apple Green and had the Fry era Eagle on it. I loved this as a kid.

I was not comparing this game and the Tulsa game from a competitive standpoint, but from the point of view that there was a better than normal crowd and the teams performed below expectations. This could hurt attendance in the long run.

I have the same amount of interest now as before I moved and have probably been to more games than you've thought about. Have I attended many the last few years? No, but marriage, kids and other committments kept me away more than I wish. Some day you may understand.

We started the same way last year. Look, I want JJ to succeed just as much as the next fan, but he's in-game coaching decisions are head scratchers. It shouldn't take this long to turn around a program when 1 good recruiting class or one or two good players can make a difference.

I live in Houston now, so being in attendance at basketball games will be tough. I still find humor in the fact that you are giving the "horns down" sign prior to a North Texas/U-LaLa basketball game. I am also aware of the difficulty finding a green tint. Look, you are pretty critical of fans/students from time to time. Because of this, you open yourself up to criticism.

I would feel confident in stating that there are no promotions for the remainder of the year. The UNO loss is the equivalent of the Tulsa home loss in football. Good crowds and a chance to capture the crowd with a good showing lost.

Question for all, How long should it take to turn a program around? In my opinion, JJ has been here long enough to make a positive impact, but I don't think he has. I continually read, and also believe, that NT has a great facility and a great location, but this has been the case for years. The athletic department needs to step up and show me that it wants to be a major force in basketball before I lay all the blame at JJ's feet. My opinion of JJ is that he is a great guy, but isn't a great in game coach. I have observed for too long under his watch poor clock management, poor use of timeouts, no flow to his offense and as Michael Southall put it, "playground" ball. I would expect North Texas to be a threat to the NCAA tournament every year.

Kim Phillips, DB from New Boston, was drafted by New Orleans in the third round, I believe. Not sure of the year but it was in the 80's.

Sorry you think my points are weak, but I would be pretty confident in stating that if someone threw up a burnt orange tent to tailgate when we were playing UT, emmitt would throw a fit and call them all boot-lickers. My stance: I don't agree with anyone wearing another schools colors/apparral on our campus, to our sporting events, etc... I don't like people that attend North Texas and jump on the UT, or any other school for that matter, bandwagon when they are successful I do find it silly that we have dedicated numerous posts to UT's winning the National Championship. I don't especially care for UT, but I don't want USC beating them. UT was just the lesser of two evils.
