  1. So true. Most coaches are given 4 or 5 years to turn their program around and get their recruits through the system. DD's been given 8 and the program is now headed in the wrong direction. This "stealth" recruiting is the same attitude he takes in preparing for OOC games. He does this because deep down DD doesn't believe he can compete with the "big boys." A team will always reflect the attitude of its coach/leader.
  2. That's kind of like saying C-USA embarrassed itself by allowing you to be a fan. Some things are just out of our control.
  3. Maybe RF will show up this year and get a kick out of an impersonator attacking a fan. The "emmitt the AD" could pat the fake RF on the head and tell him to behave himself.
  4. Zeke I thought you were referring to an A$$ naming a player!
  5. That's a great idea except the only email address you'll find is RV's.
  6. Again, unfortunately at North Texas, this is the worst thing you can do. Find another way to express your displeasure.
  7. I thought he would be one of our top players this year, but he seems to have taken a step backwards.

  9. Still nothing on the website regarding the signings. I guess the athletic offices are closed for the holidays.
  10. Wasn't trying to be. Happy New Year.
  11. In summary: The cheerleaders don't cheer, the dancers are hot, the dancers are always there, the cheerleaders aren't, the majority loves the dancers and are frustrated with the cheerleaders and COGreen has written his doctorial disertation on the whole screwed-up mess. Conclusion: Cheerleaders should cheer no matter what organization they belong to and who pays the bills. They are cheerleaders for North Texas first and to compete second. Dancers: Hot and we all love them.
  12. I don't expect a National Title, but I do expect a consistent Top 50 ranking.
  13. I hope they are good with spelling.
  14. Starting to come over to the "other side?"
  15. Can we play defense against anybody though?
  16. Keep me posted. I can't get a feed over the internet. Damn computers.
  17. I agree with your last paragraph, but the first two reflect the attitude that has afflicted this program for years.
  18. Same with Celina in 2A.
  19. I didn't agree with this statement. Especially the part about demanding the team be that much better next year.
  20. Highlights one of their players, but makes the point of the difference between recruiting for UT, OU, etc... and the NT's and Houstons of the world. I was just shocked that Briles doesn't employ the "stealth" recruiting, so that recruits aren't stolen away! Houston Chronicle.
  21. DRC.com
  22. I bet the fans at Central Florida are thankful that they didn't take the long road to success.
  23. So, a player's parent will be critical. I do understand why they, the player's parents, aren't critical of the program while their son is playing, but it is nice to see this. This has been discussed many times on this board, but NT seems to overlook many players in their own backyard. The Metroplex is a breeding ground for good D1 players, yet we seem to rarely recruit it heavily.
  24. XM is owned by Clear Channel.
  25. Too many rules to be a good drinking game. I quit reading at rule 5.
