I agree, but my original response was to this quote: I'm not asking the university to go overboard, but to not put us in the position of playing catch up facility wise in the future. They should build something that won't need renovations in the next few years. Build nice facilities that will attract the athletes to make us a success from the beginning.

Coaching has historically been a "good ol' boys network." This isn't the first time something like this has happened and it won't be the last. I like his attitude and am curious to see how that translates to the players.

Sorry, but this is the attitude that got NT in its current situation. Why shouldn't we want nice facilities from the start? Don't you think the better recruits want to play in the nicer facilities? Seems to me that this attitude sets us up for a catch 22 situation.

SHSU Softball Facilities

They cost $35 to produce.

Is the softball field really that bad? I haven't been by the site since I moved to Houston. Maybe that explains why there haven't been any new construction photos since the tennis facility was completed. After all the touting of the new facilities at the Mean Green Village, I would be disappointed if they didn't meet expectations.

Unfortunately, crime in Southwest Houston is at an all-time high. Want to guess where a majority of the refugees/evacuees are now living?

Question, Got5OnIt, Slinker -> She should have been fired prior to this season, but with a 17-8 record, should be better, and the chance at a 20 win season, is this the time to fire her? JJ -> What good will a 6th year do? It shouldn't take that long to turn around a program. Considering the team's performance earlier in the year and now the typical mid to late season losses, JJ should go after this year. DD -> It's a dead horse!

I work with someone that is close to the Swimming and Diving program. This person has mentioned to RV that there are problems with the coach, but I don't think anything has happened.

Your facts are a little off. You claim facilities are a problem? Football doesn't have a new stadium and the new AC is to the benefit of all sports. The Super Pit is much nicer than what TCU and SMU have to work with. I don't think talent is the problem when JJ's teams go in to the tank at the same time every year. You are right about Slinker, she should have been gone a long time ago, but what seniors are graduating that are going to decimate the team? Bobo is the only one that I can think of.

PC will get his chance in the NFL, and I wish him nothing but the best. If he doesn't make it I would like to see him at NT coaching the RB's. I could think of no one better to preach the importance of education and show our RB's the ropes on the field. He would be a living example and an excellent roll model.
