  1. Don't let one season ruin your opinion of NT's last few years. This USM team was not near as good as last years. They lacked playmakers on defense, and Almond has not had a good season.
  2. I hope this wasn't "about an average crowd for this season" considering the DRC listed attendance at 921.
  3. Thank goodness. With a FB team that is already under the scholarship limit, we couldn't afford anymore cuts.
  4. That is not the correct way to demonstrate our frustration. Maybe so at a UT, OU, Ohio State, etc..., but North Texas needs all the athletic boosters, Mean Green Club members and season ticket holders in can get. Otherwise, the lack of upward mobility will not only be the result of the administration but also the fans. How so you ask? What if your opinions are all wrong, and the present administration is striving to see the current plans for our athletic facilities through to the end, but the sticking point is a lack of alumni interest in the form of donations? What if the facilities are completed, CUSA, or another higher profile conference, comes a calling and rejects NT for lack of support? Who would be to blame then? My point is that the fans and alumni need to keep supporting the program. This way, if the finger of blame ever needs to be pointed, we will only have to use one finger, and you can pick which one you want to use.
  5. Yes, unfortunately, this is correct.
  6. I received this notification via email but had to search for it on the website. This doesn't make me feel like they are trying to promote this through the most effective channels. The only reason I received it is because I requested the email updates. If I hadn't, I don't think I would have ever known about this.
  7. Holiday Pack Six Games for just $30! 8. Michael Vick Doug Flutie Drew Brees Ty Detmer Koy Detmer Jeff Garcia
  9. Well then who do the cheerleaders answer to? I would make it a requirement that is understood and agreed to prior to volunteering that the cheerleaders are required to be at all football games and basketball games.
  10. Maybe they are doing quite a bit behind the scenes, but it appears that they rely on Vito to provide the promotional material through his articles. Not getting tickets to season ticket holders, not requiring the cheerleaders to be there, not requiring Scrappy to be there and having trouble pulling together a couple of pizzas and some soft drinks for the Nichols State game is unacceptable.
  11. Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought Title IX related to scholarships or "school funded" opportunities being equal for women and men. If a walk-on wants to pay his/her way, why does this affect Title IX? Or does Title IX also state that if there are 20 walk-on spots offered for men then they has to be an equal amount, 20, of spots for the women?
  12. They are young and energetic, something I miss. (Fire away with wife jokes!)

  14. And some of you were mad a Szatsmary!
  15. Didn't Andy Mac always have the best recruiting class at MUTS?
  16. I was serious about him coaching. I seem to remember that he was a criminal justice major. Anyway, Etheridge hasn't set the world on fire as the OL Coach. I always loved Zuniga's demeanor, along with Brewster's. I think our OL could use a little attitude adjustment after this year.
  17. It was noted in another thread that Chaney had left the team. Is this correct? If so, this is a good pick up. Have the coaches considered moving Harmon to D-End? He's a big kid, pretty athletic, but doesn't have very good hands to be playing tight end.

  19. This shows you how reliable this is. Cobbs: Should get a shot, late round draft pick. Nwigwe: Junior, not coming out or getting drafted. Davidson: Injury prone...too small for NFL May: Not getting drafted, poor season and past North Texas players with better credentials didn't get drafted. Early: Will be back next year after tearing ACL. Needs to bulk up to play LB in NFL, otherwise, should learn the safety position if he wants a look. Covington: Great size and speed which will probably lead to him getting signed as a FA. Must play more under control and shut his mouth to succeed. Branch: His career ended the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Bazaldua: Will get a shot as a FA. Cobbs and Baz are the two with the best shot at the NFL.
  20. I hope this is a joke, and that I am missing the sarcasm in the above post.
  21. Where did you hear this? This hasn't been published has it?
  22. This is ridiculous. When was the game moved to Denton? The tickets should have been mailed out the next day, the concessions ordered, etc... Sorry, MGBuzz, but the above quote is ridiculous. Send someone to Sack N Save to pick up the drinks if you have to. This is more a case of "not wantin' to" as oppossed to "not able to." You think if a football game was moved to Denton "at the last minute" that the deck, tailgate area, kid's zone, etc... wouldn't be ready? The is b.s. and pure laziness by the athletic department.
  23. The original Master Plan for the Eagle Point project showed a T&F stadium on the southern part of the property.
