  1. That's normal, not that there's anything wrong with that. Marv Albert: YES!
  2. I didn't think that was the job of the head coach. Someone needs to tell Mack to lay off the sales pitch. It is not helping his program.
  3. I see the three conferences listed as having a tough time filling all of their bowl committments.
  4. You played a down NT team last year and only won by 7. I would think playing a "good" NT team would worry you.
  5. Cardwell playing TE for the Desperados just caught his 1st career touchdown pass. About three plays later he forces a fumble that resulted in a safety.
  6. How much per pair?
  7. Oh, hitches....I thought you said Bit#$%!

  9. Congratulations to Zach. I always applaud those that succeed in the classroom and on the field. It is not easy to do both.

  11. That is where you lost me.
  12. First home game of the 1966 season. I was a couple months shy of my first birthday so don't remember a thing. Most memorable game was the snow game against Florida State.
  13. Those are of the practice facility which is the old LCS softball field.
  14. North Texan
  15. It was Utah, especially considering the fact that Utah State was in the Sunbelt at the time.
  16. And this surprises you?!

  18. Not if he keeps making decisions like he did in the playoffs last year.

  20. Guess I was confused. I thought the title of the thread was "Who is your favorite sportscaster?" As in MY favorite. I didn't realize it was who is MeanGreenBuzz's favorite. I'll read more carefully in the future. Also a big fan of Aikman.

  22. Sorry for the terrible spelling, etc... That is what I get for typing on a handheld in Houston rush hour traffic.
  23. I agree support has always been a struggle at NT, but aren't DD & RV out selling the progtam during the offseason? This is common at most of the D1 programs. Most caoches are out speaking to alumni groups, students or anyone that will listen selling the program, drumming up support and attempting to sell more season tickets. NT has a coach that goes unheard between Spring practice and the start of Fall. RV promises quarterly meetings that don't happen. We have a group here that would do anything to help the program, but nothing is done to capitalize on this "free" help. So much could be and should be done, but we just get the same old thing. A coach that badmouths the school and fans. Oh and bowler, I don't thin¬?
  24. I played organized sports for 15+ years and am the son of a coach. I've never had a coach that tried to fire up his team by criticizing the people that are there to suppprt them. His choice of language doesn't offend me either. I'm just tired of DD's attitude towards those that are trying to support his program, and his lack of effort in promoting this program in a posotive light publicly. I agree with FF Joey's thoughts 100 percent.
  25. Heard the fans were referred to as F'ers.
