  1. Is there a more appropriate title to a link. I loved the quote on FoxNews: "Lay went from the nice grandfatherly type to Nixon about as fast as Basic Instinct II went to video." Ouch.
  2. In no particular order: OU: Loved them as a kid during the Switzer years. Arkansas: I'm the only Texan in my family, the rest are Razorback fans, so I was brought up to cheer for them and not the Horns'. Probably why I liked OU as a kid. Have kind of lost interest in Arkansas since they left the SWC. Ohio State: For some unknown reason I liked them as a kid. I thought Art Schlitster (I know that's not even close to the correct spelling, so I took the phonics route) was the greatest QB ever. Any Texas team, including UT now, except SMUt.
  3. So, you don't even mention Eddrick Gilmore. Do you know he won't be around also? Thanks for the write-up, but I do have one question. Why do you think Stevenson would start at DE in the 3-4 but not the 4-3?
  4. Rivals.com Rating for Seneca Collins This just shows you how accurate the ratings services are. He was a 3 star in basketball.
  5. Does Katie Hnida have any eligibility left?
  6. Kind of like after a motorcycle accident. The EMT's won't know what to do if they can't see the victim's eyes as they approach. Sorry, I'm not trying to minimize the care of players with head injuries, but can't they just cut the visors off when they attend to him?
  7. Buy. Buy/Sell: RF will go after Silver Eagle in the stands this year, SE puts RF in a figure four leg lock and gains a submission from RF.
  8. Isn't TSU Texas Southern?
  9. I agree. * Jenks, OK has one of the best HS programs in the country, regularly being ranked by USA Today. * Late qualifier or not, this young man's stats speak for themselves. He's been almost automatic throughout his HS career. * Folks who make their living analyzing the recruiting game rank him as the #9 kicking prospect in the nation. * Who cares if he was a late qualifier, he qualified. Some other late/partial qualifiers that did quite nicely at UNT: Eric Pegram Jonas Buckles Dylan Lineberry And I beleive Cody Spencer I also seem to remember that we were the only D1 school to offer a scholarship to a young man out of Tecumseh, OK that seems to have turned out just fine. Recruiting is a crap shoot. Some of our best players weren't that highly recruited or played one position in HS only to switch to another at NT, such as Cobbs and Brad Kassell. Just look at Texas Football's section where they revisit recruiting classes. Many of NT's were thought to be bad on signing day turned out to pretty good classes. Give these kids a chance before you jump off the deep end bad mouthing DD.
  10. NT asks current season ticket holders and MG Club members for referrals.
  11. I did notice quite a few players seemed to have lost weight since last year.
  12. I saw them and that was no kelly green, and yes, those were the best North Texas uniforms ever.
  13. Interesting note about tickets to the SMU game.
  14. 6' 8" and 175lbs. Sounds like some of our recent recruits that JJ was criticized for.
  15. Hey, the athletic department is on top of things. I received an athletic's email earlier this week that linked me to a Women's Soccer game in 2002. Anyone else receive this?
  16. on Phoenix Suns' first round pick "Spanish Chocolate."
  17. That's what I'm afraid of. I was being argumentative in the hopes he was wrong.
  18. I noticed quite a few players have lost weight, but the most shocking was Philip Graves who know only stands 3'2" and weighs 215lbs. He was showing such promise and Steele had him rated highly, but I think mobility could be an issue at that height and weight. Also notice Tye Rexrode is up to 257lbs.
  19. And why "can we probably color Eddrick Gilmore gone?" Do you have any proof or is this just more internet board speculation?
  20. I didn't miss the point, I don't understand it, and you missed my point. How can you say someone isn't durable when they run the ball 285 times for 1,872 yards and 17 TD's? If he wasn't durable he wouldn't have carried the ball 285 times in essentially 8 or 9 games. The young man pulled a hamstring last year and some of you are labeling him as not being durable. Was there a need to rush him back to the field last year? No, not with PC healthy and in his senior year. I firmly believe that J-Mo's problems were a result of added weight, not being injury prone. Again, please tell me how you are not durable when you run the ball 285 times in a season?
  21. Hasn't proven he can be durable? Please explain, All Mighty Big Dawg, J-Mo's results as a true freshman in 2004.
  22. Proven to be durable? Led the nation in rushing in 2004 as a true freshman filling in for an injured Cobbs. Why can I count on him? Filled in nicely for Cobbs in 04 running all over Colorado in his first start. Potential is for people that haven't produced. J-Mo has and will for the next two years. Mark my words.
  23. I guess my shot at humor went the way of Quoner's shot at sarcasm.
  24. Man, the season can't get here soon enough. SE's tempers gotten short. Would it take the edge off if we sent RF over for you to yell at?
