  1. The new coach at Rice, Todd Graham, has been on the job a little over 3 months and is responsible for raising $3 million for his program. Interesting concept, a personable coach with a positive attitude making a difference. LSU head coach Les Miles and AD Skip Bertman are in Houston speaking to a group of alumni. This is part of Miles and Bertman's annual tour visiting with the alumni giving an update and selling the program. Would love to see this at NT.
  2. I picked Banks, because I think an improved OL is the key to the season, and we know what Lineberry brings to the table. A close second was Thomas, but I think we have the depth in the event something happened to him. JT was another possibility, but if his hamstring acts up, I believe Mitchell and Cox are more than adequate to take over this running game, a running game that will rely on improved OL play.
  3. That's normal, not that there's anything wrong with that. Marv Albert: YES!
  4. I didn't think that was the job of the head coach. Someone needs to tell Mack to lay off the sales pitch. It is not helping his program.
  5. I see the three conferences listed as having a tough time filling all of their bowl committments.
  6. You played a down NT team last year and only won by 7. I would think playing a "good" NT team would worry you.
  7. Cardwell playing TE for the Desperados just caught his 1st career touchdown pass. About three plays later he forces a fumble that resulted in a safety.

  9. Congratulations to Zach. I always applaud those that succeed in the classroom and on the field. It is not easy to do both.
  10. First home game of the 1966 season. I was a couple months shy of my first birthday so don't remember a thing. Most memorable game was the snow game against Florida State.
  11. Those are of the practice facility which is the old LCS softball field.
  12. It was Utah, especially considering the fact that Utah State was in the Sunbelt at the time.
  13. Not if he keeps making decisions like he did in the playoffs last year.
  14. Guess I was confused. I thought the title of the thread was "Who is your favorite sportscaster?" As in MY favorite. I didn't realize it was who is MeanGreenBuzz's favorite. I'll read more carefully in the future. Also a big fan of Aikman.
  15. College FB: Keith Jackson College BB: Vern Lundquist Pro FB: Summerall and Madden Pro Baseball: Miller and Morgan, the old days Gargiola and Kubek Hockey: Razor TX Rangers: Holtz and Nadel Cowboys: Shamm and Hansen
  16. Sorry for the terrible spelling, etc... That is what I get for typing on a handheld in Houston rush hour traffic.
