The joke is comparing that game to a no-hitter in baseball. One, the no-hitter FYI, is perfection. This game was far from perfection. In fact, I'm embarrassed this comparison was even made.

Considering you are given the ball on the 25 yard line to start OT, the typical deep snap for a FG is 7 yards, then the length of these misses tells me how inept our offense was.

I stand corrected. It was a fabulous game, and DD's offensive brilliance is to be commended for getting us to 7 OT's.

I'm sure RV wants to receive an email about a school replacing their AD, and I am also sure that Mello was fired over the NT game. This obviously was in the works to have a replacement ready to go.

illuvious, I know you think I've become a negative poster, but let me respond to your thoughts. I also share your ultimate aspirations. To get their we must achieve our short term goals. Your definition of short term goals is progress over a 4-5 year period, winning some OOC games and staying on top of the SBC. Well, in the last 4-5 years we have started losing SBC games, beat SMU, but pretty much tanked in the OOC games and the performance of the team has gone steadily downhill. Seasonal expectations? I didn't expect us to go 2-9 with Cobbs and Thomas returning last year, and I expected us to be better this year than 05'. Neither of these expectations is being met, and that is why I am not happy with the direction of the football program at this time. Yes, I am happy for the players that they got the win, yes, I am happy that they showed heart and determination, but I am not happy when we are given the ball at the 25 yard line 7 times we were not able to score 1 TD and ended up 3 of 7 on field goals.

It's just for fun, and I would think our fans would remain tasteful in this.

And, I will add: Hire a coach that doesn't alienate himself with the fans. Hire a coach that runs an entertaining style of offense. I am one that goes to the game to see the game. The fans in the parking lot need a little more incentive to enter Fouts and when their choice is, (1) stay in the parking lot drinking beer and visiting with friends or (2) go into Fouts and be bored to death by Dickeyball, can you blame them for their decision to stay outside?

It is a disgrace that DD/RF's system has wasted so much talent. I love the young men that play for North Texas, but I'm tired of the DD/RF show.

I wasn't able to make it in from Houston this week, so I listened to it on the internet. Don't get me wrong, I am proud of the young men on this team for never giving up, but I am sick and tired of a coaching staff that doesn't utilize the talent we have. I would have been just as bitter if I had been there. I am tired of DD/RF's style of offense. It is boring, it doesn't fully utilize our talent and it typically doesn't put us in position to win. This game should have never gone to OT, let alone 7. You want to know why attendance is stuck around 15,000 on average? The head coach and his OC.

Where's the agenda? The game was horrible.

I have been a fan for a long time and will continue to be, but DD's teams are a disgrace. There is too much talent on this team for them to play like this. I give the players credit, but this game is an embarassment. 7 overtimes and the final is 25-22? This will be the joke of Sports Center. You like that kind of publicity?

And we still win. What a disgrace.
