I made it out to the game, and it would have been nice to have a visitors section. Anyway, here are my thoughts on the game. 1. Autry Court reminds me of the old Men's Gym a little. It they could fill that place up and keep the fans involved it would be a tough place to play. 2. Almond is the real deal. 3. Woodson looks like he is playing on one leg, and I'll agree with Eagle 1855 that he was pretty ineffective. 4. Watson played better than I have ever seen him play. 5. Sturns was impressive and played pretty much under control. 6. The new uniforms look great. 7. Why does JJ let the opposition go on runs without calling timeouts to potentially stop these? 8. We are very athletic and played good defense. This was a game of runs with us holding on at the end to win. If we continue to grow and mature, this could be a special team.

If you can make it, go out and support the many seniors that have been here the last few years. Johnny Quinn alone deserves a full house. Regardless of your feelings towards Dickey, Senior Day should always be crowded.

1. No, that is not my point. Mac states that NT needs more and better donors, and he chooses to remove his support because our PR nightmare HC who happens to be his buddy is canned. Like FFR stated, if he is so intune with NT's needs, where has his support been through the years? 2. The posters on this board have been much more involved throughout the years than MM comes close to. Sure, we all appreciated his donation and hoped he would stay around to support his alma mater. Well, MM stayed true to form. He only did it to get his name in the paper and to support his buddy, not the school. NT athletics survived for a long time without MM and can survive in the future without him. It would be much easier with his support, but he should never be allowed to dictate what the AD does. His customers don't tell him how to run his store. 3. Little Dickey could have done much more if he would have recruited better following his three, out of nine total, successful seasons, fired his worthless OC and stopped criticizing his "situation" in the media every chance he got. Oh, and calling the fans Fer's was a touch of class. Isn't DD's father's name Jim?(bo) Looks like he's got someone else taking up for him again.

Care to share facts, or are you just going to throw out wild claims and not support them?

We don't get on our high horse and then talk down to you for supporting the team now. What get's me going is how you are rude and inconsiderate to those that can't attend all the games now, but still listen to those they can't attend and attend when they are able.

Just this year Michigan State and North Carolina.

I also wonder if Carthel wants to move away from the Panhandle region of Texas. I work with someone who's son is a freshman receiver at WTA&M. He speaks very highly of Coach Carthel and the entire coaching staff.

Good point Mac. Let's see, North Texas needs more donors to invest in the program to allow the budget to be increased, but one of the donors, Mac himself, refuses to donate until the budget is increased. Makes alot of sense to me.

For once, Craig Miller makes some good points in reference to his alma mater.

A new coach with an exciting style of play, a personality that attracts fans, doesn't bad-mouth the school, program or facilities, would probably lead to additional funding that would allow NT to compensate their coaches better. It is just too bad that DD didn't possess these skills.

Finish out the current projects would be my first suggestion, but then again, they aren't asking me. nortx9 posted this in the thread on baseball in the Athletics section of this board yesterday: Unfinished projects look bad, in my opinion, and should be finished prior to moving on the other projects.

I found the above interesting. What would have kept DD from changing the offensive coordinator position long before this season?
