  1. They didn't even attempt a pass. DD was just trying to keep the ball in the middle of the field for a field goal attempt. Conservative crap.
  2. It is still time for DD to go.
  3. It's time for DD to go. Chicken sh*% call.
  4. Based on their entire careers, Joe Greene and Abner Haynes.
  5. If both sides were full and the endzones were vacant then their were 20,000 there. The capacity prior to the erector set endzones being added was 20,000.
  6. I wasn't sure, that's why I noted the late 50's. I guess 56 would qualify as mid 50's, but it was past the midway point. Thanks for the clarification as this was a few years prior to my arrival on Earth.
  7. Huff makes a very accurate assessment of Moore's time in Denton. I'm not real sure what Bob Tyler did while he was here. I had a friend that worked the chain gang during Tyler's only season, and he stated that Tyler rarely communicated with anyone other than to ask what play was being run. Odus Mitchell was a family friend of ours, and I'm surprised more people don't mention him in the same breath as Fry. Coach Mitchell was successful and was the coach that really broke the color barrier for large universities. Jerry Levias gets credit for breaking the color barrier with SMUt in the mid 60's, but Coach Mitchell was recruiting these players, Abner Haynes for instance, in the late 50's.
  8. It appears from the article that he is not interested in red-shirting.
  9. Gee Ramon, I would guess after Spring ball, Fall practice and five weeks into the season would be enough time to execute. I see other programs on television every week, that have new QB's, etc... that aren't having this problem. Maybe a look in the mirror would provide the answer.
  10. Well, at least we know he won't be included in the QB rotation.
  11. I want a buyout clause. Then if I suck at my job, they can't fire me and if they do I get paid. How screwed up is that?!!!
  12. I let PMG speak for himself, but referring to my posts as interjecting wisdom will get you laughed off this board.
  13. Couple of comments: Kitchens coached our RB's not the OL. Euless, I was born in the 60's not attending NTSU. An assistant at a BcS program that has aspirations to become a head coach may very well be willing to take a pay cut in the short term to fulfill his dreams.
  14. Plus it would piss off Baylor. There's something to be said for that!
  15. None of the above should have been an option. I'm not sure who the right person is. Dodge isn't leaving SLC until his son graduates, so he's out. Please say no to Fran. His reputation has taken a big hit the last few years. Gary Barnett is an idiot and R.C. Slocum got run out of Collie Station because his offense was boring. Bailiff @ TX St. San Marcos is an interesting option, but he's an alum of SWT and may not want to move. The head coach at West TX A&M is interesting. He runs a high powered offense and has been successful immediately. I want a coach that is: 1. Enthusiastic, a motivator and energetic. 2. Has a relationship with the HS coaches in TX. 3. Will sell the program to the community. 4. Runs an entertaining offense. Chambers and Applewhite would be at the top of my list.
  16. Then maybe this BOR member will ask UNT.edu to post their email addresses. Everyone else associated with the university has their contact information, but not our BOR.
  17. Did you enjoy our grenade celebration at ASU's expense?
  18. Are our assistant coaches on year to year contracts or longer contracts?
  19. LoveMG was making fun of DD's comments in the paper. I don't believe that was the AD's response.
