  1. An annual look at Dave Campbell's Texas Football would tell you how relevant the star rating system is. Look at NT for instance. Every year we have one of the lowest rated classes, yet five years later than perform much better than originally anticipated.
  2. I was sitting in the upper section behind the Rice bench with my 4 year old running around the bleachers.
  3. Plus SMUt just dropped Track and Field, one of their most successful programs, for Title IX reasons. Don't see them starting anything up.
  4. Troy ECU SJSU Tulsa Hawaii You know if you spell Tulsa backwards it is Aslut.
  5. Seems to work alright for the Aggies.
  6. This coming from a guy that had Dodge come to Missouri and install his offense/passing game.
  7. I only saw Wooden play at Rice, and I too thought he looked like he was injured. Nothing has been reported officially, so this is only speculation. His improved play of late could be attributed to a combination of recovering from this injury and shaking off the rust. I hope so, because he has the physical build to be dominating in the SBC, and our team needs an inside presence to free up Davis, Watson and Sturns.
  8. We "look as hough we're going to turn the entire thing over to high school coaches, the head guy with a couple of years of I-AA experience from 12 years ago." Really? TD has hired one coach and has hinted at bringing along his defensive coordinator. That's three coaches. Give the man a chance to fill out his staff before you and shaft start jumping to conclusions. My point regarding Malzahn was that he adjusted the offense he coordinated to the skills of his players, like any good coach would do. I would expect the same from Dodge. I see us already being much different from when DD was here. There is no "woe is me" crap, so I would expect a different expectation level. Do we beat OU and Arkansas? Probably not. Do we go in there to compete with an expectation anything can happen? I assume so, and it will be a breath of fresh air. Now give TD a few years to recruit his type of players and let's see what happens. This is just like criticizing a recruiting class at the moment they sign their LOI. Give them time to develop and they may surprise you.
  9. I have been very aware with family and alums from Arkansas. That has nothing to do with my point. My point is that Malzahn arrived straight from an Arkansas high school, installed his offense at a SEC program and led them to the conference championship game. Did he run the same offense he ran in Springdale? No, like a good coach, he adjusted his system to fit his players, and I would expect nothing less of Coach Dodge.
  10. TFLF, it seems to me that Arkansas did pretty well this year with a first year offensive coordinator straight up from HS running the show this year. Coaching is coaching. You should continue your rants about us hiring a former Longhorn QB and shaft should go back to harrassing folks for not attending Bball games.
  11. I never thought I would see a helmet or logo that I liked more than the "Stylized Eagle" of the Fry era, but this tops that. This is pure greatness.
  12. I noticed this at the Rice game, and it has really made a difference in his play this year.
  13. What happens to people that call him Tood?
  14. A few facts for you to think about: 1. San Jose State is a conference mat of Boise State. 2. BSU played Sacramento State, Oregon State, Utah and Wyoming in OOC games. 3. BSU beat Oregon State handily, which beat USC later in the year. Impressive win. 4. OU played UAB, Washington, Oregon and the MUTS in OOC. Not much difference in my opinion. So please tell me, outside of Sacramento State, how BSU scheduled so softly? At least in OOC games. They have no control over their conference schedule.
  15. Plus, he should have the personal funds and connections to assist in the fundraising for the stadium.
  16. Almost correct. That was the Mojave forest.
  17. Now you know what it is like to be a non-BCS playing in a BCS stadium. Or prior to the BCS, when NT would play the likes of UT with SWC refs. Check the film of the 1988 game for reference. Fortunately for OU, it was only one call. Now go back to Norman and cry in your $80 million athletic budget.
  18. Santiago is listed on the roster on the website, but then again, Flanigan is still listed as our OC Neal is too small to play DD's smash mouth style.
