Funny how an alum that doesn't support his alma mater states that his alma mater needs better alumni support.

I love how you post your thoughts and then follow that up with a post that says if anyone disagrees or discredits your post is a jack-ass. Considering your contradictory posts, seems like the pot calling the kettle black.

tcooper, all of your other posts blame Flanigan for the problems with the team, but isn't/wasn't DD ultimately responsible? Isn't/wasn't DD Flanigan's boss? How can you place all of the blame on Flanigan and none on Dickey? You also mentioned that North Texas should hire a West Coast style coach to replace Flanigan. Doesn't the HC make the decision on who his coordinators are and what system is run? If not, then he isn't a real head coach. You also had this quote in one of your posts: Care to expand on this thought or are you referring to Flanigan?

My father was a coach, so I know this is part of the profession, but I wish Coach Dickey the best and thank him for the conference championships and the trips to New Orleans. He has enough coaching connections that I am sure he will end up on someone's staff and do a great job. Regarding the program, this had to happen to prove that the university is committed to moving this program forward. The Green Team, while a neat distraction, was an embarrassment. Don't expect a sudden announcement as to who will be replacing DD. North Texas probably won't be able to talk to anyone until the seasons are wrapped up, unless a university gives NT permission. I don't see this happening as it would be disruptive to the other teams. My hope is that RV is given the freedom to perform and extensive search for the best candidate. What I'd like to see: * Connection to the high school coaches in TX and OK to improve recruiting. * An innovative offensive system. * A contagious, upbeat personality that sells the program to the students, faculty and staff, alumni and Denton community. * A proven winner. * A coach that holds his players accountable. What I'd really like to witness: PMG performing his total revision to the KSU/BOR manifesto.

Please explain, because the above makes no sense to me. I've heard that he will play the race card, but I don't see how that would hold water considering his offense is ranked at the bottom of D1.

A simple yes or no would suffice.

DD should go for allowing RF to continue his non-productive ways. BTW, don't forget that all of RF's calls are funneled through DD for approval priot to being sent in. I can't believe the tone of the board seems to be shifting to DD staying and just RF going. The only way DD let's RF go is if he is forced to do it. They've been connected at the hip for so long, that I thought DD should go down with the ship. Afterall, he is ultimately responsible.

Please tell me what leads you to believe that DD can lead us to the Top 25 when his overall record is abysmal, his national rankings (by Howell which is near the consensus) has been 97, 112, 103, 87, 56, 54, 69, 115 and so far this year we are 110 and he hasn't shown the ability to recruit top players from the area or state?
