  1. Wish it was all green or all white with just the starred NT on it, and just SOW on the back of the hat near the bottom.
  2. I believe he took a position of Presbytarian Hospital-Denton.
  3. I hope Barrett sticks, because Barrett and Brigham have the potential to be unbelievable. Then again, this may protect us in the event Barrett decides to go elsewhere.
  4. Ahhh, North Main BBQ. Nothing better than all-you-can-eat on a Friday night. Just remember to bring your own adult beverages. Care to share that steak recipe?
  5. I'll buy this thought with night games, but when Hawaii leads the NCAA in passing yardage the green helmet against green grass arguement loses traction.
  6. Putting pressure on RV isn't going to solve the problem. Putting money in the athelic department, however, will speed up the process.
  7. Did you ever play? These are given for both individual and team acheivements.
  8. As long as they aren't irregular.
  9. My bad...that was MeanGreen 93-98. So, Texans must be capitalized and seared meat is just, well, uh, seared meat. Low and slow is the only way.
  10. Okay, first off Texans should always be capitalized. Secondly, in this post you qualify BBQ as meat brushed with your family's secret sauce and "cooking on the grill until it's seared and thick and makes a mess when you eat it." Later you state "As for cooking it on the grill until it's seared--well, slow cooking over hickory/mesquite or similar smoke is the only way to do barbecue. If it ain't smoked, it ain't barbecue." You've got to make up you mind.
  11. Below is the Top 25 passing teams from 2006 per the NCAA website: A quick glance tells me that #'s 4, 7, 9, 12, 19, 21 and 23 are the only ones with a predominately white shell. I really don't think it makes that much of a difference.
  12. As I understand it, DD ordered the black jerseys without going through the AD. The black pants were already part of the uniform. Please clarify your question.
  13. It is either Ditka or Bratsky...that's all we need.
  14. I do too. Probably the best known use of the pride sticker in the NCAA is Ohio State. The buckeye sticker is a classic. Any other favorites out there?
  15. Excellent post except for drinking Lone Star. Just plain nasty beer. Couple of eateries you shouldn't miss in and around Denton: All the ones list above. Denton County Hamburger on the Square Trail Dust Steakhouse about 10 miles east of town on 380. Ponder Steak House about 10 miles west of town. Frillies for good cajun. Metzler Bros. BBQ...head to Lindsay, about 30 minutes north of town, if you have time. Fouts Field tailgating BBQ Babe's Fried Chicken in Roanoke...about 15 minutes south of town.
  16. Okay, you've just been elevated to moron status. And to answer the question posed in the title of this never-ending thread.... "We'll kick their A$$ again, only this time in their house!"
  17. Wasn't Hardman a defensive end?
  18. The only way we'll find out is if one of us stands up at the first game and hollers, "All season ticket holders, please raise your hand!" Count'em and you've solved the great mystery.
  19. Actually, it was A$M, not TCU.
  20. Exactly. This is the uniform style that UA provides and I don't think a kelly green helmet would look good with this uniform. Other than the first few years of my life, all I have known is a green helmet for NT, so I'll have to get used to the white. Whatever it ends up being, I hope it stays that way for years except we need SOW on the helmet and not "North Texas."
  21. Sounds serious. My prayers are with him.
  22. Want to bet the Jackson St. never sees the Belt?
  23. That would make more sense. I keep forgetting that he is part of the 07 class and not the 08.
  24. You all are hilarious. They contacted the SBC. The article never states that the Sun Belt is after them. Calm down.
