  1. To keep with our university's mission, shouldn't it read: "The Greening of the Metroplex" Or "The Greenest School in the North Texas Region"
  2. Thanks for the lesson in attendance/fanbase building from an Arkansas State fan. Something's wrong with that picture.
  3. Uh, Joe Greene was a Defensive Tackle.
  4. Shouldn't that be studette?
  5. Well, thank goodness he didn't shoot the robber in the back. The left wing would have a field day with that.
  6. Anyone up for a discussion on politics, religion, pizza joints, burgers, sexuality, race relations, the right to shoot someone trying to break in to your home, etc....?
  7. Yes, it was in the late 70's. I went and saw Alcorn State play somebody. I was probably 12 years old at the time.
  8. I exploded in my seat.
  9. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. WKU's in trouble. CL acts like he doesn't want the ball and Drake is playing with all of the confidence.
  11. The Green Team???
  12. No problem. I chose not to comment being afraid it would be removed. Kuddos to the homeowner.
  13. No comment: Man Shot By Intruder.
  14. Money says they'll change their tune with DeLoach leading the defense this year.
  15. I don't think you all get it. He wasn't offered the job here. Another coach was.
  16. Don't forget how unfair it is to those 65 teams involved in March Madness.
  17. I played HS baseball and never travelled on Spring Break except to baseball games. It's not that big of a deal, as least it wasn't to me.
  18. Please, please, please let the off-season pass quickly. It usually passes like a kidney stone and this year's looks to be a big one.
  19. Someone in Denton will have to put forth the effort since I now live in Houston.
  20. I think our last game with TCU was in 2002 in Fort Worth and we should have beaten them. On TCU's post-game show, one of their coaches said they wouldn't schedule us again. Of course, our program took a downturn a couple of years after that and they might have reconsidered, but I don't see them scheduling us while TD is coaching.
  21. It'll be nice when our games are "can't miss" with our fans.
  22. Still being relatively new to Houston, 3 years, and with two small children, you can't go wrong taking them to the Herman Park area. The zoo and the Children's Museum are great although the museum can get pretty crowded. The Aquarium is downtown and is a private venture similar to the Downtown Aquarium in Dallas, so it can be a little pricey. It is easy to find though. As you enter downtown on 45 just look for the ferris wheel. Here is their link: Houston Aquarium Kemah, which is about an hour south of Houston is another good place to take the kids with food, drinks, the beach, rides, etc.... Here is their link: Kemah Boardwalk Aquarium The Rice Village area is great for places to eat and drink, but not as kid friendly as what I mentioned above.
  23. There's no way of knowing if they don't ever try it.
