  1. In fact, it appears that many of them gravitate towards Utah and BYU. I believe many Polynesians practice the Mormon faith.
  2. Um, what about our rankings in the 70's during the Fry years?
  3. San Diego also let James Lofton go as their WR coach. Pretty harsh after making it to the Conference Finals. I'd hate to see what they would have done had they made it to the Super Bowl.
  4. Thank you Rick. I hate making lists because someone deserving is typically left off or overlooked. Chris Hurd was one of my favorite players from our early 00's team, and I can't believe I left him off the list.
  5. How about an article promoting the banquet, or the JUCO signee's, or the off-season workouts, or a look ahead at the upcoming season, or a profile on Awasome playing for the Giants, or.....
  6. I like to think of some of our past recruits that weren't highly rated coming out of HS that went on the great success at NT. Patrick Cobbs: no D1 offers and sold himself to DD. Johnny Quinn: no D1 offers until K-Mart persuaded DD to sign him. Brad Kassell: a little known QB out of Llano the turned into one of our best linebackers ever. Don't know of other offers. Andy Brewster: Undersized center that turned into the anchor of our OL during the conference winning streak. Scott Hall: QB that led us through the conference winning streak, NOLA Bowls, etc... No other offer to play QB. Casey Fitzgerald: Little known walk-on that became an All-American last year. Adrian Awasome: Undersized DE with the frame to grow. Now playing for the Giants, although currently on the DL, that will be playing in the Super Bowl in about 10 days. Others feel free to add to this list. As others have stated, schools like NT need to take a chance from time to time on a young man that has the potential to become successful on the field. Let's give this young man a chance and see how he develops instead of writing him off before he sets foot on campus. I welcome him to NT and wish him much success.
  7. I'm up for it. If I could only find Shiner in a can!
  8. I didn't realize that Adam Sandler posted on here.
  9. I'm glad to have him and see him red-shirting this year and not playing until the 2010 season, so I'm perfectly happy to see how he develops in the next two years. Don't forget, but Michael Jordan was cut from his HS team and Brad Kassell was a little known HS QB out of Llano.
  10. Where was was/is this printed that indicates he officially transferred to TTech?
  11. Still not signing day. Let's piss off TTech again.
  12. The answer is in your question. They should have gotten it in the endzone.
  13. San Diego should have won, but give the Pats credit. This should be anothe Super Bowl blowout with the Pats finishing 18 and 0, as much as I hate it. I had GB going into the game tonight and was shocked at how poor their offense performed.
  14. Yep, and they still call Memphis "Memphis State" all of the time too.
  15. And don't forget his greatest and most impressive entry on his resume: "Saturday Night Wrestling" from the world famous Sportatorium. Used to watch this faithfully as a kid.
  16. Del has a son that is in high school? I had a few classes with his son Stan at NT back in the early 90's.
  17. Man, your avatar has taken a dive lately and really gone to the dogs. (Poor humor), but please bring back the blonde.
  18. I love the story. I don't believe a punch in the mouth should have been the punishment, but a couple of "licks" from a big wooden paddle would have sufficed.
  19. Now the almighty SMUt would never stoop to admitting that little ol' NT has players they want.
  20. Now there is a word that should be used more often.
  21. Let me put it this way, Jones isn't going to recruit the questionable characters to SMUt that he did to Hawaii. If he does, couple that with donors coughing up big $$$ for his contract and the NCAA will be watching like a hawk.
  22. Man, quit selling Archie short. The man played ball here and is now a football coach. We aren't taking a chance on him. If DeLoach is hired, Ramone played for him and knows his system. He doesn't need to learn TD's only DeLoach's, a system he played in for two years. Coaching DB's is coaching DB's.
