So an illegal play is the rightful response to a legal play? I don't agree with the chop block, but it is legal.

You are a freaking idiot also. That post is so full of B.S. you should be wearing boots. A few examples: Our starting QB was the 4A Player of the Year last year and was starting his first collegiate game. Even with his first game jitters, he settled down and did much better as the game went on. You want a real read of his potential? Go to the game this weekend. Our school isn't serious about football? Really? Then why in the world do you build an athletic center and position it to be the south end zone structure in the future stadium? Comparing NT to Stanford's situation in mindboggling. Plus, Harbaugh wasn't coming here and Dodge was the best hire. You two morons are calling for someone's head in the 5th game of his collegiate coaching career. Neither one of you know what situation DD left TD and what needed to be done when he arrived. I'm sure it was nothing compared to Stanford and the BCS millions they make as part of the PAC 10. Oh and Fitzgerald's catches for -2 and 2 yards. How in the world did he end up with 14 catches for 131 yards and 2 TD's catching only -2 and 2 yard passes. I could go on and on, but have decided to rest on my responses to the two morons or the board. Go join ponyfans or baylorfans or hurricanewatchersanonymous.com

You are a freaking idiot. Put your money where your mouth is and go to the coach's show tonight and address this with Dodge himself or head on over to the AC and request a sit down. Hitting hard is one thing, but blatantly after the whistle is ridiculous on any level. You're right, they aren't high school officials they are D1A officials with more experience and should call late hits regardless. Typical lawyer. You've got a b.s. arguement for everything on here.

Anyone See The Damn Today? I Love This Team!

Please stick to basketball in your analysis. Vizza was the 4A Player of Year in Texas last year. Many of the other recruits that are freshmen this year put up big numbers in successful programs. Santiago, Drake and Menard are young and form a good nucleus for the future OL. Penson will be a stud at LB. Currently, Mendoza and Monroe have been a disappointment at LB and should be replaced by Mahan and Penson. DL will have turnover at the DE after this year, but Chapman has been a success for a couple of years. Gilmore was a Top 50 recruit of DD's that will be a force if he can keep his grades in order. Dibrell, Walker and Johnson were all state receivers. Plus, Dodge had 17 days to recruit last year. Look at what has committed verbally to this point. Hang on to these young men and get to work after the season filling out the class and see what happens in the next year or two. -
Usually down low in section E. At least that is where they used to be.

Ok...now That We As A Board Got Vizza Playing...

It's called sarcasm. -
Here's to biting my tongue from resisting the urge to say what I want. Pure brilliance. Regardless of the level of football, this was illegal. The NFL would fine and suspend a player for that action. If Coach Hawkins made the above statement in response to a late, cheap shot on a QB then he's a moron. Adding to your brilliance, please explain how NT throws for 600 plus yards in one game, 384 in the last game with -2 and 2 yard pass plays. Sure, Harbaugh caught lightening in a bottle Saturday and beat USC, but the situations are entirely different. Many first year coaches struggle especially when installing a passing offense with players recruited for a running game. In case you haven't noticed, Dodge's offense routinely calls for 4 WR's. Were you aware that there were exactly 3 on scholarship when he arrived? Go pick a team with a female kicker to support and a fanbase that enjoys your lawer-esque rants.

Thank you PMG for this post and for its brevity!

Very good post.

Yep, Nurudeen, or however it is spelled, is the reason we lost last night. Is he a player? Appears to be, but he is not the answer to stopping 73 yard runs.

I think it was during the LSU/Florida game that either Nessler or Griese state that they reason you don't see the 3-4 defense much in college is because of the running lanes it creates. The 3-4 requires three very talented D-Lineman to work correctly and speed at the LB position. Also, during the Missouri whipping of Nebraska, the announcers were going on and on about how good Chase Daniels is, and one of them mentioned the excellent coaching he received from Todd Dodge. Dodge has been here for 8 months, put together our best recruiting class in years in essentially 6 weeks, has implemented a pass based offense with players that were recruited for the running game, replaced 4 out of the 5 players on our OL, arrived to find only 3 WR's on scholarship, worked diligently to change the image DD had created and we have fans that think we should be 3-2 at this point in the season on our way to winning the SBC. Please be realistic when looking at this season.

You are an ass. Dodge's offense has racked up 400 or 500 yards consistently. The defense has underperformed to say the least. Many excellent coaches have taken their lumps their first year on the job. Dodge and NT football will be fine. You might be happier at a Stanford or Utah State message board.

ULM runs out of a "spread" formation most of the time. Their QB against Tulsa didn't throw well, but he can run and Dawson, their tailback, is very good.

Vizza Is The Starter Next Week - Bet On It

I do agree with the JUCO defensive help, but the rest is proof that you should stick to your expertise.....Basketball. -
Well An Impression Was Made On This Caju Fan
UNTLifer replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
Yes, we are slow, but the crap they were playing in after the rain sure didn't help. I watched Fitz score on a long pass against OU and didn't get caught from behind, so calling him slow is a stretch. I would say that overall we are slow, but J-Mo, Fitz and Jackson are far from slow. Give TD time with recruiting and hire a new strength and conditioning coach and we'll be fine. -
Is It Offical? Are We The Worst Team In College Football
UNTLifer replied to Mean Green Sig's topic in Mean Green Football
Make up your mind! Worst team? No, but our D may be the worst right now. -
I've heard from a reliable source not to expect Banks on the field. On the team? Yes, but not on the field.
-
The admins need to add an ignorant alert and pin threads of this nature there. Hey, Playmaker, you might try Utah State's board. I'm sure there's not a USU Playmaker on there.
-
Our defense is embarrassing. One thing you could almost always count on with NT was a good defense. What if the world has happened on that side of the ball?
-
Got to stop the big plays. The defense plays a good stretch and then gives up a big play. If we don't answer here it is over.
-
Not looking good. Got to hold them to 3 here.

NT down at half by a couple, gives up a long run to start the second half, but come back to score and change momentum. NT wins late by 5.
