  1. It's funny. I was sitting on the alumni side and it appeared that they were directly over me, but pictures I've seen show them over the field. Then again, maybe it is just me.
  2. Mr. Fitzgerald had a heck of a game also with 5 TD receptions.
  3. OT, I respect your dedication to NT and all that you do, but you can't tell me you are pleased with Mendoza taking last year's talent and creating the worst defense in D1? Check out the Navy stats and tell me how you defend Mendoza. Navy stats 10 yards per carry for the game!
  4. There's a difference in showing frustration and not being a team player. Ask Joseph Miller about that. Another "quality post" from the resident moron.
  5. Two things for everyone, see above, defending Mendoza.....Fred Bleil and read SilverEalge's post, oh and also read FFR's. I was sitting with them last night in awe of how our talent on defense, #61 in the country last year minus Sky Pruitt, has turned to this. Mendoza has to go. What defensive player wants to come to NT to play for this coordinator?
  6. The young men on the defensive side of the ball were ranked in the 60's last year and have only lost Sky Pruitt. Mendoza took that and turned it into the worst defense in the history of NT. These young men deserved better than that. Mendoza is an embarrassment. How in the world do you score 62 points and lose! I hope he is ashamed of his performance and walks.
  7. I understand your feelings towards Green, but something tells me that Coach Dodge is the type of person to forgive and offer a second chance should Green adhere to a strict set of rules. I just feel that Dodge would like to see Green become a better person in the long run and not throw him out over this issue. Then again, I have been wrong before.............once.
  8. I'll let you two fight that one out, but Nashville, TN metropolitan area is much more desirable than the Troy, Alabama area to a conference looking for media markets.
  9. I just don't see it. Central Florida was attractive because of their geographic location and the talent that resides in the state of Florida.
  10. That sounds pain... can't do it. I'll wait for Quoner to reply.
  11. I am coming in from Houston for the game and am willing to purchase a ticket from someone if they have an extra. Is so, please send me a PM. Thanks
  12. Isn't there a saying about the apple not falling far from the tree?
  13. Sorry to upset you, but I'm coming in from Houston for the game and have family obligations that evening. I hate to miss the bball game. Here's to a good crowd.
  14. Based on experience, I would say yes.
  15. NMSU-CKS A Shot at the Aggies from our earlier years.
  16. Parker scores 18 points to lead Findlay to 70-68 exhibition win over Ohio State November 6, 2007 AP - Nov 6, 9:39 pm EST More Photos COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Marcus Parker scored 18 points to lead Findlay to a 70-68 victory over Ohio State on Tuesday night, the second time in a week a Division II school beat a Big Ten team in an exhibition game. On Saturday, Grand Valley State beat No. 8 Michigan State, the conference preseason favorite, 85-82 in double overtime. The Big Ten made headlines this way to start the football season when then-No. 5 Michigan lost 34-32 to Appalachian State from the Football Championship Subdivision. Jamar Butler hit a 3-pointer with 1:52 left to bring the Buckeyes, who have one starter back from the team that lost to Florida in the national championship game in March, within 70-67. He later made a free throw with 4 seconds remaining to pull the Buckeyes within two points, but Ohio State was unable to regain possession as time expired. Morgan Lewis had 15 points and Josh Bostic added 13 for the Oilers. Butler finished with 22 points and Kosta Koufos added 20 for the Buckeyes in their final exhibition game. They open the regular season on Nov. 12 against Wisconsin-Green Bay in the NIT Season Tip-Off. Freshmen Greg Oden, Mike Conley Jr. and Daequan Cook all left Ohio State after last season for the NBA. 17. Careful what you ask for. We obviously just got rid of a coach that ran a "loose ship" and our new coach is suffering the effects of instilling discipline with some of the former players. Not sure if you want Barnett running a "loose ship" on the hilltop. My personal opinion? I could care less who they hire as long as they aren't afraid to schedule us.
  18. Interesting. I posted a reply comment to Mr. Jorgensen's blog entry that they have chosen not to put in the paper. My comments were, in summary form, as follows: 1. Big 12 coverage? You are a Denton paper located in the same town as North Texas which is the largest employer in town and not a member of the Big 12. Big 12 coverage can be found in the Dallas Morning News for the folks requesting this coverage for the front page. 2. Middle School Sports? They don't play on Fridays, so there is no need for coverage on a Saturday. 3. High School Sports? They deserve front page coverage on Saturday, but so does news of NT's game that day. Besides, this was a bye week for NT. Either use the space that is usually set aside to preview the game, or wait until Sunday and use the usual front page space were you cover the game to print this story. 4. NASCAR Coverage? These folks visit the area twice a year, and while we enjoy the money they bring to the area, shouldn't you cater to your customer that supports the paper on an annual basis. The NASCAR coverge could be relegated to page 2 or 4 for that matter.
  19. I believe that was Montey Stevenson.
  20. What is wrong with Dennis?
  21. Tasty Greek, the claims of Diet Coke Boy on your blog are hilarious, but concerning. Thanks for the laugh.
  22. It was from the UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE not UNT.
  23. Then I trust him to forward any emails, or correspondence that he receives, to the correct person.
  24. For those of you in the Denton area, please write a response, but remember, they prefer you be in their circulation area. A couple of years ago, it took an "act of Congress" for them to print a letter I wrote, and I lived in Trophy Club at the time. My one request, be factual and tactful.
