  1. Don't feel bad. He gets me going every time. I too, should just let it go.
  2. He'll be fine. He doesn't have much talent surrounding him, with apologies to any Haltom supporters.
  3. Problem is, he is already blaming the current higher ups for using smoke and mirrors and we are only at the halfway point of Dodge's first season. I'm disappointed too, but give the man some time is all I'm saying. Not 4 or 5 years, but at least one or two.
  4. SCORE EARLY: yes SCORE OFTEN: It is soccer, ain't gonna happen.
  5. That can be applied to any level of coaching: www.chron.com
  6. Once again, my point was lost on you. Please, go cheer for Tulsa or find a team with a female kicker to support. Your original post in this thread is full of sh#!. We have a new University President, a new football coach and a new coaching staff and you are ready to write them off after half a season and claim they are trying to pull the wool over our eyes. On top of that, Dodge had 17 days to assemble a staff, recruit and sign his first class. A little patience and a dose of reality is what is needed.
  7. I remember Vittatoe. He wanted to come here but nobody on the staff at the time would recruit him.
  8. I am sure he was referring to scouting reports and film of Troy which all coaches rely on to build a gameplan. I am also sure TD is aware of his own tendencies and trys to alter his gameplan to throw the other team off, but a team jumping from blitzing 1/5 of the time to 3/4's is rare.
  9. Yep, and unfortunately, their fastest player is none other than Denton High's own Anthony Aldridge. I don't think NT even sniffed him.
  10. Maybe so, but that is much more recognition for Wooden than this prognosticator gave: CBL Preview
  11. Stop making sense!
  12. You know, if you truely feel this way, then why are you on this board? Go support Tulsa, or whatever school you received your post graduate degree from. At some point, schools like Kentucky, Utah, Boise State, TCU, Rutgers, etc... said enough is enough and put forth the effort and committed to having a successful program. There is no reason to believe that is not what is happening at North Texas right now. There are too many signs that indicate that this program is headed in the right direction. I believe Dodge is a "real college football coach" and that our assistants will be fine. As with any coach, Dodge surrounded himself with coaches he is familiar with and has a nice mix of coaches with college and HS experience. These coaches are well respected by the HS coaches throughout Texas, which was needed considering not many of them respected the previous coaching staff.
  13. He must really like Coach Williams.
  14. My disappointment is with you. I thought I would give you a chance after the post to start this thread, but then you used "loose/loosing" in the place of lose/losing twice, and threw up a second post that equalled the first in moronic proportions. My gut was right after the first post, you, sir, are an idiot.
  15. Yes, but not starting or playing the majority of the snaps.
  16. Not an estimate, a real number. Now, that doesn't mean all of the MG Club members tailgate, but when you give financially, you get to park closer to the stadium. Whether the donors show up or not doesn't matter, they will still have a spot closer to Fouts.
  17. These young men have been at UNT for 8 months. Please tell me what other signing class performed better 8 months into their first year? As with all recruiting classes, their true grade can't be assessed until they graduate and have time to produce. Based on their HS accomplishments, this is one of the best classes we have signed in a long, long time. The Kennedy, Spencer, Casey, etc... class turned out to be good, but I don't think they came in with as many accolades as this class.
  18. There was a natural gas well drilled about a year or two ago just south of the Mean Green Village. You can see the old retaining pond from I35W, but I don't think any wells have been on NT land.
  19. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Troy host the team currently tied for 1st in the Big XII South and hammer them?

  21. Rick, I understand what you are saying, but we are missing the following: Pruitt, Burrus, Mahan, Dawson, and Cotton Do they make that big of a difference? No, but like KingDL1 stated, Troy's offense is much improved over last year. Yes, our defensive coaching has left much to be desired, outside of the ULM game, but we did force 7 turnovers and never capitalized. Much can be blamed on the offense for this. I am not calling for heads and trust Dodge will make the proper adjustments in the near future. He is too good of a coach to not take action.
  22. Brought a tear to my eye.....tear of laughter. Nice job.
  23. It's not that difficult to have someone stand at the gate where the kids and parents enter the field and check to make sure they are Jr. Mean Green Club members and adhering to the rules. They have staff that keep 20,000 fans from going down on the field during the game, they can ask one of those at halftime to monitor the Jr. MG Club unless they are too busy busting folks for contraband tortillas. No, it's not. But, if the kid is waving the "hook'em" sign at our players then he should be shown the door. You think this would be tolerated at TT, A&M, OU, or any other major college program? You think Michigan would let a kid line up to welcome their players back on the field in an Ohio State jersey? If they can't monitor who enters the field, then they should open up the Jr. MG Club to everyone for free. Parents have paid for their kids to go down there, and kids should get to sneak out there without paying much less in another schools clothing.
