Hiring a HS coach is a nonfactor. Coaching is coaching. You think Stoops is a better coach, because he wasn't a high school coach to begin with? Coaching football is coaching football. The speed of the game changes dramatically and you have to learn to recruit. Well, Dodge and staff have proven to me that they can recruit with anyone. Now they just have to adjust to the speed of the game and put their players in position to make plays. Southlake gave up something like 116 points in a 16 game season last year. That tells me that Mendoza can coach. Dodge and the staff just need time. Be patient and support the program like never before.

I say the students should all wear Roman wigs and start a fan club. Step away from the ledge folks. This was week 1 of the Dodge era playing with players recruited for an entirely different system. Patience....patience and SUPPORT!

Thanks for blowing our idea for the SMU game! That's classic. That kid shouldn't be suspended, he should be inducted in to their Hall of Fame!

I'd rather suffer through a buttkicking with Dodge at the helms and a bright future ahead of us as opposed to another DD led buttkicking.

Poor angles taken by the DB's due to OU's speed and not being ready for OU's speed were the two main factors. Holman was nowhere to be found, the DE's weren't staying at home, etc... It's our first game in a new system with new coaches. A little patience is in order.

Not the game, you so called fans. Dodge arrives to find 5 TE's on scholarship and 3 receivers, no offensive line to speak of and a poor history of recruiting. He brings in arguably our best class in years, starts moving players around, benches our two returning starters on the OL, installs a passing offense with mainly either freshmen or DD's players "recruited" for a running offense and has to face OU in his first game. Give the man some time to get HIS players and HIS system in place. The OL played better than I thought they would giving the QB time to pass. Only a few of the sacks were on our OL. Either Meager held on to the ball too long or they were coverage sacks. I didn't see us give up even though the game was way out of hand. Have patience folks. We've got a coaching staff that is highly respected and will do a good job, but give them time, support them and the players and realize who we just played.

I'm sorry if you dislike the fact that we wish them well, but have warned them. Maybe I shouldn't have done it, but I did. I wasn't trying to be classless or rub anybody's face in it at all. Just trying to inform them of what the future holds. I wish them the best. While focusing on your Southen Miss Eagles, just remember that they have a number of "classless" fans that did nothing but badmouth our program after the bowl game. You might want to pick someone else to follow. Point being, you aren't going to like everything about a program, coaches, players, schemes, fans, etc... If you drop your support over a few NT fans then you weren't that strong of a supporter to begin with. I wish you well.

Not trying to piss you off Cooley, and I do appreciate the information you provide. I stated my feelings above not as a shot at you. Don't recall taking any shots at you in the past. What's disrespectful or immature about commenting about a kid's information that is not interested in playing at NT being posted on the NT Basketball message board?

I couldn't agree with your comments more CBL. On the other hand, it is obvious that Morgan has no interest in us and JJ isn't going after him for one reason or another, so why bother with the updates? Put his info on the Non-NT athletics page or something.

Their new QB is horrible. He missed open receivers all night long. Malone Stadium looked good on television, and I like the warhawk logo. Overall, not a bad game.

There are no minimum capacity requirements only attendance requirements. I say we build a new stadium that seats 30,001. Dodge wouldn't mention a new stadium, seating capacity (ballpark) and completion year if he didn't know something.
