Read into my comments what you want. Nothing I posted even hints at being envious of SMU. I'm concerned about your reading comprehension.

I don't think either post or the thought behind this thread is that we feel inferior to SMU. It is why we hate SMU. I hate them for there historical comments about North Texas, the smuggness of the majority of their students and alums and the fact that they have blackballed us, a known fact, in the past from moving up conference wise. In no way, shape or form do I feel they are superior to us.

Good Lord Plumm! We have a new President that is, to me, very clear in her feelings towards athletics and what it can do for NT. I think RV finally feels that he can do what needs to be done, and Dodge mentioned on ESPN radio that he was looking forward to a new stadium in 2010. Let's see what happens before we start comparing ourselves to Laura Miller and the idiots in Dallas!

After last week, what did you expect from the national media? My thoughts are that we will beat SMU by at least 4 and Arkansas State will also beat them.

A great post. OU, or any other high ranked team, was probably the worst possible way to start with this year considering Dodge is implementing a new offensive system that doesn't eat up much clock. I was pleased to see sideline shots of him and the rest of the coaching staff coaching/teaching throughout the entire game. What would have been the purpose to make adjustments to our system when we will not face another team of that caliber all year? Arkansas could be ugly also, but they aren't close to being OU good. Support the players, the coaches and our university. Dodge will have this ship turned around soon enough.

That young man commits to us this summer, moves here from California, faces one of the top WR's in the nation in his first game and he's being commented about as being our worse player ever to his hair makes him play bad.

Anyone on any team will have this problem. That young man will be playing on Sundays.

No, we tailgate which is beneath SMUt, so they boulevard, or something to that affect.

Roman. He stayed after it against maybe the best WR in the nation all night long and didn't give up. As with the rest of the team and coaching staff, I will give them time to get settled in and comfortable with the system. Roman will surprise a lot of you, and hopefully will be on here one day saying, "I told you so." I say we hand out Roman wigs for the first game to all the students and nickname them "Roman's Rowdies" or something catchy.

I expect to see huge improvements against the Ponies. Too good of a coaching staff to let this occur again.
