High School players can't sign a letter of intent until National Signing Day in February. I believe it is always the first Wednesday in February. Feeley has given his verbal committment, and with the loss of Atkinson, I hope we hang on to him.

I would say J-Mo came in with a lot of pub considering his state ranking and the other higher profile teams that were recruiting him. I think he was only rated behind Peterson that signed with OU in the state of Texas. You don't roll up the kind of career stats that Newton has and be recruited by the programs he has without having some talent. The young man would be a welcome addition here, but I am just as excited about Mosely's future and the verbal of Dunbar. I understand your point too, but when has NT ever been in contention for some of the ballplayers Dodge has received verbals from? We are getting recruits that are being targeted by SEC and Big XII schools.

First off, not many, if any, come in at the level J-Mo did as a freshman. Two, did you watch the state title game last year and the run Newton had were every kid on the opposing team had a shot at him?

I was more than please with Micah Mosely this year and am excited about Dunbar from Haltom City joining the team next year. Plus, Cam Montgomery was rated highly by rivals and should contribute next year since he was obviously injured the majority of the year. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Newton come to NT, but the cupboard is far from bare, just needs a little stocking for depth.

People are sick and tired on their homes being burglarized. Half the time the people that get caught walk anyway. The legal system isn't stopping these people. They're letting them run back and forth, either across the border or in and out of jail. Just look at the background of the punk that abducted the NT student this year and ended up burning her. He shouldn't have been here in the first place. I am far from a xenophobe. I have many good friends that imigrated to this country legally and aren't criminals. I just have a problem, not a fear, of those that enter our country illegally, commit crimes, get free education, healthcare, etc..., and don't have any intention of being a legal citizen. Especially those that commit crimes, run gangs (MS13), push drugs, abduct and murder young people, etc...

Not arguing, but I think it is naive to think not one person in any team's front office, including the Astros, didn't know about their players that were using. I grew up a Rangers fan, and wasn't even surprised to see Juan Gonzales, Pudge and Sosa on the list. Rueben Sierra is another. They just blew up over an off-season. I remember when Sosa came up, attended the game. He was just a lanky teenager with one heck of a throwing arm, then a couple years later he looks like the Michelin man.

I just think the naming of the colors, Battle Red and Blue Steel, is funny. I prefer their basic uniform and love the logo.

Bryant Gumbel was supposedly sick. Tom Hammonds isn't much better, but Gumbel is the second worst....Sam Smith being #1. The red uniforms were horrendous. I'm a lifelong Cowboys fan and used to like the Oilers. Now living in Houston, I'm trying to like the Texans, but they are boring to watch, the "Battle Red/Steel Blue" uniform/marketing promotions are ridiculous.

Really? I'm an Astros fan also, but Bagwell, Clemens, Pettite and Caminiti are all guilty. You can't tell me that not one person in the Astros front office didn't know about this.

I've had the opportunity to see Bagwell the last few years and it is amazing how much smaller he is than when he was playing. His use probably contributed to his shoulder injury. Also, who would be shocked if Pudge showed up on the report. He shrunk about 4 suit sizes when all of this hit the news a couple of years ago. I would be shocked if Biggio showed up on it.

I predict Fla Atlantic will hammer Memphis. Memphis wasn't too impressive this year, and I was shocked they qualified for a bowl game.
