  1. It is called snoring KRAM, hope you just won another beer Go UNT Soccer!
  2. Thanks. Posted that from my Blackberry as I just got my power restored last night. KRAM, couldn't be happier you won a beer, but you should have bet a case! Hope to see you all at Rice this weekend.
  3. I hope you are being sarcastic.
  4. Adler, a letter to the editor would be appropriate. McNulty is an idiot. I'm so tired of that arguement. What if there was a need for facilities in academic areas that were subpar. Cutting off funding just makes the situation worse.
  5. Just learned our zip code, mine and FFJoey's, may be out of power until Thursday. Gas is easier to find, as are other goods, but we are in far NW Houston near Tomball. It is much worse south of here. My family left for my inlaws yesterday and will be gone through the weekend due to no power and school is out here until Wednesday. I am thankful though to only be without power when so many have absolutely nothing.
  6. A baseball game.
  7. Oh, I don't see them cancelling the game, but I see it being a mud bowl.
  8. Besides what has already been stated about A&M, take a look at the revenue they generate by being part of the Big XII and the BcS. NT alumni have given to build the A/C, the Hall of Fame, the Tennis Facility, the Softball Facility and they will give a majority to the funding of the stadium, along with providing money for scholarships through the Mean Green Club and the Alumni Association. North Texas administration for years did a poor job of cultivating relationships with alumni and students prior to graduation thus resulting in poor giving. They are making up for lost time, or trying to. Fees and tuition at North Texas still make it the best deal around. The benefits of this stadium go along way towards increasing the exposure of North Texas, as a whole, a bring more value to your degree, or future degree if you are a current student. NT Eagle, I take it you are against the stadium. Mind if I ask why?
  9. The storm is supposed to wrap around and head northwest after landfall. I think BR will probably see quite a bit of rain. Weather.com forecast for Baton Rouge.
  10. Better wear your mudders. LSU's beef up front could have a field day. Turnovers will be even more critical.
  11. I watched most of it. Boring. The fans have to sing and dance, or fight, in the stands to entertain themselves. Now that's something you don't see with other sports
  12. I think Vince's momma is more upset than anyone. She sees her meal ticket floating away.
  13. The Fox station down here is the worst. This is probably my favorite weather website Wunderground.com
  14. If you can't see the improvement in the Sun Belt, then you aren't paying attention.
  15. DRC.com
  16. I saw this the title of the thread and thought it was in reference to the soccer game tonight.
  17. Talk about yawning. I watched the Olympic Marathon and all I could think about was give them a soccer ball to chase and you've got a game. Doesn't matter if they score or not, just run and kick, run and kick, oh, and don't forget the occassional flop on the ground to followed up by being carried off on a WWII era stretcher. Let's all run around for 90+ minutes and if the score is tied, no big deal, we'll both go home happy. Whatever?
  18. Mind if I ask where you heard this? I'm not questioning you, just would like to know where the information came from. I live on the Northwest side of Houston and all of the local news websites and weather websites still show it making landfall just north of Corpus. Believe me, I'm watching it closely. Right now, the biggest concern in Galveston and Brazoria County, which is just southwest of Galveston, is the storm surge.
  19. What's Drake's prognosis? Any idea of when he will return or should we consider a red-shirt. (Too lazy to check if he already has used his RS year)
  20. Still a little early to make the call, but down here in Houston, all of the weather reports show it making landfall north of Corpus Christie or between CC and Rockport. Houston, as they are currently forecasting, should see 5" to 7" inches of rain and max sustained winds of 50mph. Then again, I expect this to change between now and Fri/Sat a.m. when it hits. Trust me, living here, we are tracking it constantly.
  21. Coach Miles: Droopy Dog:
  22. Maybe so, but I'm in Houston and just received an email from the Alumni Association this morning about this event running in conjunction with the Pep Rally this is across town. If it was already planned, it was a secret. Then again, I don't see the folks being interested in a Pep Rally really being interested in hearing a piano concert, so maybe they were trying to offer a variety. Maybe the world stopped spinning for a moment and the Athletic Department and the Music School joined forces! Then again, probably not.
  23. If you take the flyer and add a few pictures of Mean Joe Greene and Hayden Fry and a picture of the Goodyear blimp photoshopped to be the North Texas blimp, then flip the pages real fast it will look like a video.
  24. Yep, nice event, but did you notice that it is scheduled at the same time as the pep rally at the team hotel? Planning at its finest.
  25. I love your new positive side
