  1. Chatman's claim holds no water. He's just jumping on the bandwagon, because he's upset he got suspended for disciplinary reasons.
  2. Seems we fired a coach during last season and many whined that it was the unfair thing to do even though he wasn't producing on the field or off.
  3. And some posters choose to ignore what Joseph Miller stated.
  4. Your true colors have finally shown through. The players don't share in the responsibility. The coaches are attempting to bring some discipline to this team due to DD letting many do as they pleased. I appreciate the coaches having high expectations for these young men regarding their conduct on the field. The "look at me generation" has grown tiresome.
  5. I seem to have read that Joseph Miller got in Dom's face over his selfish play, or something of that nature. The same Joseph Miller that was quoted in the paper saying:
  6. Please explain along what lines this "markings of a split locker room" fall? Are you referring to racial lines, upperclassmen/lowerclassmen, etc...? What exactly are you referring to?
  7. I believe it was Kerry that "fought" Ric Flair at Texas Stadium. I watched these guys religiously as a youngster and my favorite was Kevin. Fought bare foot and would use the "Iron Claw" his dad made famous or the leg scissors to subdue the bad guys. I used both of those on my brother, or he on me, which usually ended up in a real fight.
  8. Haven't heard any seniors complaining. Green and Chatman are underclassmen.
  9. It is nice to have two weeks to prepare for Navy's option.
  10. Thank you. And by the way, Tre Newton is Riley's best friend per many reports in the media.
  11. Being in Houston, the news about the Mavericks is few and far between.
  12. Dodge and staff signed 19 players on signing day 2007 with the 10 being white, 8 black and 1 hispanic. They signed two players over the summer, Roman and Kaiser, who are both white. The 11 verbals for 2008 are 6 black and 5 white. I state the above because some have made mention that NT will be "lilly white" at the skill positions in 08, or that we are targeting white athletes. I'm sorry, but I just don't see this and don't think race was an issue with Green's discipline on the sideline. If we are "all white" at the skill positions, then that is because the coaches think those players give us the best chance to win and not because of the color of their skin. Say what you want about NT, but it has celebrated diversity for years and integrated athletically long before any of the SWC schools. I don't know any of the coaches personally, but find it interesting that Dodge and his staff are held in high regard by the HS coaches across this state. I don't think that would be the case if they were racist. I also don't know Dominique Green and I didn't witness the issue on the sideline, but it appears that he has blown his situation of being disciplined way out of proportion and nobody wins when claims of this nature are made, whether they are true or not.
  13. Homecoming This made me laugh out loud:
  14. You want to know why I choose to look at this situation realistically and give Dodge a year to get his system in place? Here are the reasons: 1. Dodge didn't arrive on campus until late in December. 2. Dodge had to hire a staff before he could even recruit. 3. He put together one of our finest recruiting classes, on paper, in the last few years in 17 days. 4. He arrived to find 3 WR's on scholarship when his offense regularly utilizes a minimum of 4. 5. He arrived to find players that had been "negatively motivated" by the previous staff with little regard to teaching. 6. He arrived to a program that had won 5 games in the previous 2 seasons. Give the man some time.
  15. You're stuttering.
  16. Now that's funny!
  17. The timing of this was typical Boras/A-Ho...ARod trying to steal the attention away from the World Series. Pure Sorriness.
  18. I expected the defense to be as good or better than last year, but I expected the offense to struggle all year with an offensive that emphasizes the passing game being instituted with players recruited for a running game. Heck, NT only had 3 receivers on scholarship 8 months ago.
  19. They want to check out the waterless urinals.
  20. I tuned into KAFR 88.3 at 6:45pm last night and didn't hear one second of the game, just a talk show. The week of the ULM game, I listened to the first half, tuned in for the second half and it was their normal broadcasting. Not sure who is in charge of the MGRN, but the Conroe station isn't doing their job.
  21. Not very accurate considering MTSU is not a level above the rest of the Sun Belt, and our mistakes led to many of their points. He was right in that they won, but the fluff around his prediction is way off.
  22. I'm fully aware, but many BcS conference schools emphasize one sport over another, Kentucky, Duke, etc... and have to make a committment to be successful across the board. I know money is not an issue, but if you think football gets equal billing at Kentucky and Duke as basketball then you are mistaken.
  23. Classy. Deal with the anger in a positive manner. I'll provide you with a video of the game at MTSU where Branch got hammered twice.
  24. I'm not scared of Dodge picking up a leaving because of criticism, but I am tired of people not looking at the situation he inherited realistically. Dodge is committed to NT, and we should realistically look at the hand he was dealt upon arrival and give him and his staff some time to implement their system and recruit players to fit this system.
