  1. Glad you hold these degree plans in such high regard.
  2. "Sweet ring. What did you get that for, conference championship, bowl win?" "Nope, we won seven games." "Oh"
  3. Just an honest question, but why does this concern you? Russo will be a redshirt freshmen next year while Rexrode/Owosu Hemeng have a few years under their belt. Actually, Rexrode concerns me, but Owosu-Hemeng performed very well in his HS all-star game, and I'm really curious to see how he performs for us. Another name that intrigues me is Marquis Sykes. Anyone know how Owosu-Hemeng and Sykes have performed in practice?
  4. I may be digging a bigger hole here but there is only one way to find out, so let me explain myself. Taylor was brought up on gun charges a while back and was known to "run with the wrong crowd." I didn't know about the birth of his daughter, and I am truly saddened to hear of his passing, but sometimes your past catches up to you. It doesn't make it right, but I'm sure some of his old aquaintances wanted a piece of the pie and came to take it "the easy way." Just a hunch, but I think there is more to this story. It is a tragic story as he was a very talented young man, and my prayers are with his family.
  5. Hate to see it happen, but his lifestyle led to this.
  6. This is pretty interesting considering Arkansas and Ole Miss are long time rivals.
  7. Maybe threatened is too harsh, but what he did as a coach of this university is not acceptable.
  8. They should just state on the page to register that it is for WKU fans only.
  9. Just my humble opinion, but I think the "Grenade Celebration" is ridiculous regardless of when it is performed. Score your touchdown and act like you've been there before. Rehearsed celebrations do nothing except say look at me and this is a team sport. I didn't like the grenade celebrations we did a few years ago and don't like it now. Play with respect towards your opponent regardless of their actions.
  10. Sorry, but I have to disagree. The offense improved 100% this year, and I would attribute that to coaching. The defense, with 10 returning starters, drops 40 spots in the NCAA rankings and I would also attribute this to coaching. Mendoza might be a good position coach and a nice guy, but he isn't a D1 defensive coordinator. It that is what he wants to be, then let him earn his stripes at a lower level and work his way back up. And Dodge2007, Mendoza did threaten FFR.
  11. No need. We actually enjoy having the fans, that are civilized, from the other teams post.
  12. Must be a full moon tonight.
  13. That's understandable: 1. There's nothing else to do in College Station. 2. We all know how accurate those attendance counters at SMUt are. Soccer brings nothing to the table other than the chance at the occassional riot in the stands from lack of sheer boredom.
  14. We get rid of a coach with a sub .500 record and a penchant for calling his fans MFer's and we get ridiculed in the media, but a couple of coaches with +.500 records that just beat their hated rivals, Fran & Nutt, get canned and not a harsh word is spoken. Oh, I forgot, Nutt and Fran resigned.
  15. The difference is that he stated he didn't attend to spend time with his kids, yet he took in 3 high school games the day before. Seems contradictory.
  16. I tried to register and was told my email address was banned. I've never even attempted to register before. Interesting, to say the least.
  17. Thanks. The Cowboys coverage in Houston is minimal.
  18. I was in Houston, where I live now, with family in for Thanksgiving. Cooley, I know you are a true fan. I was just trying to make a point, and obviously a bad one, that many of our alumni choose to do other things instead of support NT. Before I moved, I was there for almost every game and really miss not being able to come up as often now that I live down here in Houston.
  19. Now that is leadership that will be missed. You have a choice, sit on the bench with the Dancers or fight with a bunch of hillbillies. Always follow your leader!
  20. Sorry, but that is a poor rationalization. You can play hard in your last game or you can choose to play dirty. WKU chose to play dirty.
  21. Quick note: During the telecast when the power was restored, you could hear someone in the pressbox say, "You smell smoke?" Jub-Jub and Hank discussed it briefly, then Jub-Jub said to not worry since FireFightin' Rick was there! Sounded like a good time. Wish i could have made it in from Houston.
  22. Unbelievable Numbers and No Offers!
  23. WKU seemed to play dirty, or at least borderline, based on many comments Georgio made. Any thoughts on this from those in attendance?
  24. I understand and agree with the rule. A rule can't be adjusted based on attendance. Watch any game in the rain on television and tell me one that you have seen with umbrellas in the stands.
  25. With all due respect, and having two boys myself, the above says a lot about the majority of our alumni. You choose to sit through 3 high school games on a cold Friday, but choose to stay home and not attend your university's game.
