  1. Less than 40,000 seat stadiums I really like Army's stadium and Sam Boyd at UNLV isn't bad, but I'm a big fan of Nippert Stadium at Cincinnati. I would add more sideline seats and make the endzone seating less with the open end attached to our AC.
  2. The police weren't going to make it in time. He didn't shoot until they entered his yard.
  3. Don't forget my all-time Dickey moment when he called us MFer's
  4. That would make sense considering an Athletic Center/Endzone Complex has already been built across the highway.
  5. Agreed. Tebow being a sophmore hurts him, Daniel's performance against OU hurt him and Brennan won't get it because he plays in a non-BCS conference. I don't necessarily agree with all of this, but it appears that this is how things work now. The Heisman should consider the entire season and not the player's team's performance, just the player's performance. Then again, with all of the BCS a$$-kissers voting, it doesn't surprise me.
  6. CUSA must be happy considering our football and basketball conference is rated higher than their's.
  7. The announcers did speak highly of White, which is well deserved, but they mentioned our win over NMSU as being an upset. I don't necessarily agree with that.
  8. Good Lord! Why do the same threads seem to pop up every year?
  9. Don't we also have a verbal from Eloy Atkinson from Los Fresnos as an offensive tackle?
  10. Thank you. The QB's Vizza was being compared to are all seniors. I challenge anyone that doesn't think Vizza will develop into an unbelievable QB. The future is bright.
  11. I've been a fan for 40 years. Trust me, it is easy to keep the faith right now. Look at last year's recruiting class. Look at our verbals so far for this coming class. Look at the offensive numbers we put up. Only one area has me terribly concerned, and a change in personel could/would correct that.
  12. With all due respect OT, I hope we sign a load of defensive talent. BUT, I don't expect true freshmen to come in and lead this team, and I don't know of top defensive talent that would look at our DC and be excited about playing his schemes. It was an embarrassment to have OU coaches laughing about us at the start of the year, and I thought that would create a sense of urgency to adjust his system to our players. Didn't happen and giving up 40+ to FIU just shows the lack of adjustments he made and how over matched he is in the D1 game. I have nothing personal against the man, but this was a bad hire.
  13. Nitpick all you want, it just hammers the point home a little harder. FIU, with the worst offense in the nation and their backup QB playing to boot, puts up 40 on us, and some of you want Mendoza back? He might be the nicest man in the world, but this is unacceptable.
  14. Offense: much better than last year and with a bunch of youngsters starting/playing the majority of minutes. Special Teams: New return men, new placekicker, same punter, not sure about the coverage units. Defense: 10 starters return and we drop 40 places in defensive standings. This is far from a team, season-wise, that suck on all fronts.
  15. I played both sports, so I do know something about both sports. You choose soccer, I choose baseball. Then again, as a spectator sport I prefer football first, college basketball second, baseball of any sort.
  16. Please redshirt Riley. I am amazed at what Vizza has accomplished as a true freshmen and would love to see what he becomes by his senior year. I like Riley, but he needs to mature physically. I just don't think he could take some of the hits Vizza has with his current size.
  17. Houston's list: Houston Chronicle.com Applewhite along with Larry Coker, Koenig from A&M, etc...
  18. What's the attraction to Tuberville. Auburn plays great defense, but their offense blows and is Dickeyesque.
  19. Would love to hear him call a game with Sam Smith.
  20. Me too, although I was a baby at the time, and this is the worst defense I've ever seen at NT, and it is not due to the players as you will not in my post above. FFR tried to, and Mendoza wanted to kick his a$$.
  21. Johnson was a D1AA head coach in Georgia, can't remember the school, and ran the option to a couple of national championships. He will run the option at SMUt and won't compete for the athletes were are after. The kids at Lewisville High are jumping for joy!
  22. Umm, there would be stores in 3 states. Denton Center, straight back on the left.
  23. I believe NT's defense, last year under the direction of Fred Bleil, was ranked #61 at the end of the year. That defense lost one starter, Sky Pruitt. Our defense is now ranked 118 or 119, DEAD LAST. Dropping 40+ spots concerns me and tells me it is a coaching problem.
  24. Then I say hire him and let SMUt dig its own grave.
  25. I have been highly critical of Mendoza this year and was part of the group calling for him to be replaced after this year, but I must say that I am excited with what is coming back next year and the movement of some players to other positions. Mendoza will get his second year, and I will wish him nothing but great success. His success is our success.
