  1. What about Chase Bain?
  2. Good Lord, could you be more bitter? Why don't you and "Hurricane Obama" just PM each other?
  3. I should have put a smiley there to note my sarcasm. There is no way anyone could have predicted that would have happened.
  4. Got5, I would disagree with your comment about talent. NT has, by the recruiting experts opinions, put together two very good classes in 07 and 08. My concern would be that Dodge succeed at SLC and not anywhere else as a head coach.
  5. It's true. The easy part, for the mortician, is prepping the body. You just use "it" like a kickstand and roll them from one side to the other. Closing the casket poses the problem.
  6. Concerning to say the least. I would really like to see the administration be proactive in their response. Then again, he may be spending his day in Dr. B's office.
  7. Watched it last night and could not figure out why they had those carts there. Then again, remembering how our team, fans, etc... were treated there in our D1AA days, it wouldn't surprise me if it was intentional. I hope the young man recovers, because he's is going to be a good one.
  8. True. Thanks, I'm too lazy to pick the two stories apart.
  9. You don't think the introduction of the white helmets and SLC style uniforms has anything to do with our current situation?
  10. I actually worked at a sports club that he was a member of back just after he retired. He truly didn't lift weights that much. He would do a couple of sets of dumbbell incline presses with terrible form and an ungodly amount of weight and then ride a stationary bike forever. Always seemed like a nice guy, but I heard some crazy stories about him.
  11. Gee, I wonder what message board he was referencing?
  12. Where else, Bruce Hall, I mean California.
  13. True, each of his ten personalities did 100 each.
  14. Saw on the news down here in Houston last night that a man in Galveston died from a Viagra overdose. The real tragedy was that they couldn't get the casket shut!
  15. Good Post! TIGreen01, Vito didn't report it with a negative tone, he reported the truth. If it was negative, blame TD, RV or the athletic program, but not Vito. Phillips is proving why he gets to be TD's audience. He is his lap dog.
  16. And this is why Dodge loves Phillips.
  17. What kind of experience would you even have to make a stateme......Nevermind. Good to hear from one of our old ballplayers.
  18. Why would you even wonder this?
  19. Testing, or should I say not testing, because you are afraid of what the results might be and what it might do to your team is not the right way to handle it. You test to find out the depth of the problem, to help the young person(s) involved and to hopefully get rid of the problem, not to nab a few and continue winning games. This isn't about games, this is about young people using drugs.
  20. Pompous and arrogant because I've grown tired of your constant negativety about all things North Texas? I never claimed right or wrong, just claimed that I choose to believe someone involved witht he university over someone with "sources." You probably won't respond to this, or any other posts, after falling out of your chair when you see that I agreed with one of your other posts 100%. It's been nice knowing you and rest in peace.
  21. UT wins and it is not close.
  22. (Yes, I did just agree with Green Dozier. Very good post.)
  23. Most employers, and I would assume North Texas is included, mandate a drug screen prior to hiring. They can also test in the future randomly if there is reason to test. Obviously Dodge had a reason to test the team. I don't care if smoking pot is a misdemeanor or not, it is wrong and these young men, like it or not, are role models to a lot of young children in the community. Your excuses for why Brown and Stoops don't test are ridiculous. You test because it is the right thing to do. Dodge didn't throw anyone under the bus. The kids did it to themselves when they chose to participate in recreational drug use, so they get to suffer the consequences. I would really respect a player that chose to come forward, admit their mistake and commit to not doing it again. Your analogy sounds like the student, when confronted about a failing grade from his/her parent states that the teacher gave me an F. Nope, you earned that F and are looking to place blame with others. Our society is full of people not wanting to take responsibility for their actions and people lining up to defend them or to look the other way.
  24. Yes, and many of these athletes are buddies to Jr. Mean Green Club members. How would you like to be a parent of one of these kids and the kids start asking you questions about the drug use. Kids are taught to say no to drugs from their teachers and parents, who should really be their role models, while their buddies from the team could possibly be using recreational drugs. Believe me, these kids look at these players like they are gods. These players need to think about that for a minute. I would like to see the athletic department take a proactive stance for once and start a "Say No To Drugs" program with the student athletes delivering the message.
  25. Have you hired Oliver Stone to direct the movie version yet?
