Let me put it this way, Jones isn't going to recruit the questionable characters to SMUt that he did to Hawaii. If he does, couple that with donors coughing up big $$$ for his contract and the NCAA will be watching like a hawk.

Man, quit selling Archie short. The man played ball here and is now a football coach. We aren't taking a chance on him. If DeLoach is hired, Ramone played for him and knows his system. He doesn't need to learn TD's only DeLoach's, a system he played in for two years. Coaching DB's is coaching DB's.

Ramone played here and coached here. What else do you want from a position coach? HS coaches move up to take position coach opportunities all the time.

I can't believe how easily some of you give in to SMU and the Jones hiring. Look at his entire coaching career. It's not that impressive and considering how lenient Hawaii's admission standards were, he may have trouble getting his type of athlete to SMUt. Have a little faith in your alma mater.

I think the green lot could be great if more people tailgated over there. The problem with that area is that it is too far away from the MG Village and JR MG Club area if you have kids. Plus, you miss out on the Mean Green walk, band, etc...

Originally they had the green helmet with the script and the white facemask at the start of article. I decided to email them asking about it. I got a quick reply that said it had been fixed, so I thanked them. Now I look, and all they did was remove it. Pretty sad for the hometown newspaper to not even get this right, and to use a helmet from the 05 season to boot.
