Like I said in another thread, I think Mean Green bball needs to find a way to get "scrappy" on defense. I know we have all these scorers, but somehow, we gotta buckle down.

I think all of that is important, don't get me wrong, but I also think this team needs to find a way to buckle down on defense. What happens if all of a sudden, the guys can't buy a shot from outside? My two cents.

On the topic of beating San Antonio, so far this year the Mavs are 1-1 against them. The first meeting was a blowout, 103-84, Dirk having 34 points, Devin Harris scoring 22, and Josh Howard scoring 17. Meeting #2 was a much closer game, the Mavs losing 92-90. But in that game the defense was better and the scoring was more even with 4 players scoring in double figures. So in summarizing that, I think the Mavs have a much better chance of putting the Spurs away this year, especially since Timmy and Tony aren't at 100%...we'll see if and how they come back. Be sure to tune in March 2nd, Mavs vs. Spurs #3! Go Mean Green!

I hope so EagleD. I think it's a nice change to see Avery Johnson bringing defense to Dallas after all of the crap defense we've played the past couple of years (and finally we don't have to deal with Sean Bradley anymore) so yes, I agree.

Seems like a good roster...how far do you guys think we'll acutally go this year?
