  1. What about a bbq/chili cookoff over at Fouts on game day?
  2. Got rid of it. Sorry, been a little grumpy. As for this hypothetical, I would put the line 02 minus 1.
  3. One of the few times that I am proud that I neeeded to look up the meaning of a word.
  4. Undefeated so far.
  5. I tend to agree that his system might not have worked with the cancers, um players on that roster. But, as far as his work at txst, he inherited a about as bad a situation as JJ did. He has them on a steady climb it seems.
  6. Oh, and also not a book or movie from 2014, but does anyone else think Comedy Central's Drunk History is damn funny. I think the Lewis and Clark episode was my favorite.
  7. Anyone ever read Skis Against the Atom? I haven't, though I am fascinated by the story of Knut Haukelid and the Norwegian underground. I think their sinking of Hitler's heavy water may have saved hundreds of thousands of lives along with insuring the Allied victory. Of course I have no idea how far along the Nazis were in development of the bomb, but it sounded like they were real close in the documentary, Real Heroes of Telemark, which I thought was very good.
  8. Out of curiosity, what are Baylor, Notre Dame, and most of the Big East chuch schools' thoughts on this subject? TCU and SMU for that matter.
  9. Anyone ever tried Rudy's on Lancaster at Kiest? Have read some good reviews, but have not had a chance to check it out.
  10. Well, I ain't coming down out of this tree until Atticus Benford agrees to coach basketball for the Methodists!
  11. Like I need another reason to hate the ewe.
  12. I believe Billy said in another tread that he would commit on signing day. Bad idea for one with few, if any offers. If true, he pretty much did this to himself.
  13. Absolutely love how this thread has so many twists and turns. Please continue. Edit: Shame on me for not twisting or turning. What kind of road surface to you prefer? Concrete, asphalt, gravel, other?
  14. I can't be convinced that the athletic complex raised property values anymore than I would be convinced that, if values dropped, it would have been the cause. The Boston boost in development? Where would development happen? Locked in by the I 35s and AC. Are they to raze Denia and develop there? One of the prettiest areas of Denton? Agree. Why would you want to pile a bunch of bricks and concrete on top of it? And, by the way, some homeowners that have lived there a 10 to 20 years and aren't looking to sell might not want to see higher values. Because you know what goes up when that happens.
  15. How does a convention center improve residential property values?
  16. Okay, you see a guy selling pillows from a table in Sam's and assume he works for Sam's? First off, as Long Jim said, management does well and he may be in the mgt training program. Many large corps. start you in the store for training. Second, did he have on the Sam's gear, or might he be there representing the pillow manufacturer as a sales rep? These jobs, whatever the widget, can have huge earnings ceilings with all kinds of regional and national management opportunities. Every widget in that store has a sales rep earning good money moving said widgets. Some of the least glamorous widgets have some of the best earnings out there. And adding to what Eagle Green said, maybe he is not on fire for a high pressure career yet. Or at all. I suggest learning the entire story before making any assumptions.
  17. As long as he isn't a tooter.
  18. Runner was down and Sid speared him in the head. If you get a chance to see the replay, watch as he goes to the sideline. Mac was pissed and I can't repeat what he said on this family friendly board.
  19. Let me get this straight. The people of Denton voted for liquor sales and voted against fire water coming out of their faucets? Hmm.
  20. And by the way, all this Frisco suburb talk reminds me of Ten Hands "Trip to Carrollton". There were a lot of nice houses in a row. That was the Frisco of the time
  21. Frisco may or may not suck, but it does have one bad ass velodrome.
  22. I don't remember the exact quote, but Mac said at the beginning of the season that the starting 5 OL were the best 5 by a wide margin. If this is true, it is very disturbing going forward.
  23. Umm, the beegees are going toe to toe with them by utilizing the forward pass.
