Letter From A&M Chancellor To Business Leaders On Manziel
Baby Arm! replied to FirefightnRick's topic in Mean Green Football
Meh.. Aggy being Aggy I have to wonder if Sharp has seen enough evidence to know Johnny Autograph didnt do it, why doesnt he come out with what that evidence is? Sharp could put an end to the whole damn thing if he did Instead he decides to attack the writer and sources personal history. Why??? For the record ESPN's story didnt say Johnny Autograph was guilty, as Sharp alledged, it reported the existence of an NCAA investigation and the allegations behind the investigation. Rovell's story did say Johnny did it, only that he was accused of it. Sharp is sneaky here because he is slamming ESPN et. al. for using evidence he believes to be sketchy, but claims the high ground based on evidence nobody has seen. Pot, Kettle calling, uh you're black.. -

Thoughts from my trip to Denton yesterday
Baby Arm! replied to emmitt01's topic in Mean Green Football
Div I requirements in 1994 were 17k average attendance and a 30k seat stadium (which is why we added 10,000 bad endzone seats to Fouts) Both requirements have gone by the wayside. -
Im sorry but I dont buy this "He's just a college kid, doing what college kids do" excuse. It's a load of crap. His defense that he just an 20 year old and going to live life to the fullest. Maybe an average college kid acts like Johnny Football but JFF is not an average college kid! He's the Heisman Trophy Winner, the face of his program and maybe university. The average college kid doesnt get to be famous, doesnt get sideline seats to the NBA Finals, doesnt hang with LeBron, and rock stars, doesnt get free trips to New York to go to the ESPY's, talk shows etc.... To those who much has been given, much is expected The price to be paid for this fame, adulation, attention and future NFL millions? You dont get to live the typical lifestyle of an aveage college student. Really?? The cops give the courtesy to knock on your door and tell you to move your car before it gets ticketd and you view it as harassment?? Oh and about all this "Pressure" the instant fame and attention is putting on young Johnny? Why didnt we see similar headlines about RGIII? Tim Tebow? Sam Bradford? Colt McCoy? Andrew Luck? or any of the other college QB's that had rocketed to fame in the Twitter/social media era? Im sorry, to me Johnny Football is coming accross as a spoiled brat that wants his cake and eat it too.

We might actually average 17k attendance per game (which was the goal/requirement for D1 then) -

There is no "good" BBQ in Denton, closest you'll find may be in McKinney. I hear good things about Hutchins BBQ. They made Texas Monthtly's Top 50 list -
Fox Sports1 will be taking over what is currently the Speed Channel. That may be on the sports tier of you provider, but if you currently get Speed, you'll get FS1 on Aug 17th.

Lewisville Fighting Farmers- Played O Line Left Tackle and special teams. Made the playoffs every year I was on varsity but the furthest we got was Quarter finals round. Had a partial offer to West Texas, didn't go. Took the debate scholarship to North Texas instead.- 61 replies

IF the Big XII elects to actually expand back to 12, its pretty much common knowledge they have a short list of targets and Houston isnt one of them. , Notre Dame (doubtful at best), Clemson, and Florida State

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl 2013 Date Announced
Baby Arm! replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Would it be a disappointment if the New Orleans Bowl was the first CUSA bowl game UNT gets an invite to? I don't know about the rest of you, but I'd take ANY bowl game now but if I had my druthers, I'd want to go someplace else. I've been to the NOB 4 times and I'd like to go someplace different. -
I see what you did there.

Seriously??? The "Hitler argument": aka Goodwin's Law already? A bit early for it to rear it's ugly head. "Godwin's law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies is an assertion made by Mike Godwin in 1990 that has become an internet adage It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches In other words, Godwin said that, given enough time, in any online discussion—regardless of topic or scope—someone inevitably makes a comparison to Hitler or the Nazis."

Something new for game day tailgating?
Baby Arm! replied to SilverEagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Never understood why RV has opposition to shuttle buses on game days. Based on our attendance we need to do everything to make it easier for people to get to the stadium. Shuttle routes with stops at the dorms, greek row, train station, and other parts of town just make sense.
